Specifically, in January 2022, GAC Aeon sold 16,000 units, an increase of 117.93% year-on-year. It is worth mentioning that in order to further meet the market demand, GAC Aeon announced the start of plant upgrades, which is expected to invest about 500 million yuan to expand production capacity from the original 100,000 vehicles per year to 200,000 vehicles per year. At the same time, a second plant with a capacity of 200,000 units will also be completed by the end of 2022, when GAC AeON will have an annual production capacity of a total of 400,000 units.

Xiaopeng Automobile delivered 12,900 units in January 2022, an increase of 114.83% year-on-year, and delivered more than 10,000 units for five consecutive months. Among them, Xiaopeng P7 delivered 0.67 million vehicles, with a cumulative delivery of more than 80,000 vehicles in history; Xiaopeng P5 delivered 0.4 million vehicles, delivering more than 0.4 million units for two consecutive months; and Xiaopeng G3 series delivered 0.22 million vehicles. As of January 31, 2022, Xiaopeng Automobile's cumulative delivery volume exceeded 150,000 units.

Ideal Auto delivered 12,300 Ideal ONE units in January 2022, an increase of 128.07% year-on-year. At present, Ideal Car has delivered more than 10,000 vehicles for 3 consecutive months. Since its delivery, the cumulative delivery volume of ideal ONE has reached 136,400 units.

Nezha Automobile delivered 11,000 units in January 2022, surpassing Weilai, an increase of 402% year-on-year, and was the fastest growing brand in january's new forces delivery, ranking 4th in the January new forces sales list. Up to now, Nezha Automobile has delivered more than 10,000 vehicles for 3 consecutive months.

NIO delivered 0.97 million new vehicles in January 2022, an increase of 33.6% year-on-year, and as of the end of January 2022, NIO has delivered 176,700 units. Compared with January last year, although the delivery volume of NIO has increased steadily, its ranking has dropped to no. 5.

Zero-run vehicles delivered 0.81 million units in January 2022, an increase of 434% year-on-year, and deliveries increased by more than 200% year-on-year for 10 consecutive months, ranking 6th in the January new forces sales list, and the second fastest growing brand in January new forces deliveries. Despite this, compared with Xiaopeng Automobile, Ideal Automobile, Weilai Automobile and Nezha Automobile, the delivery volume of zero-run cars is still small, and the single-month delivery volume has not yet exceeded 10,000 vehicles, and there is still a big gap.

Krypton Motors, which has been officially established for less than a year, also gave a bright report card: in January 2022, a total of 0.35 million ZEEKR 001 units were delivered. Overall, in January, which used to be known for its off-season, the new power field of car-making showed a trend of not fading in the off-season. Among the new car-making forces that announced sales, Nezha Automobile and Zero-run Cars, which had previously been in the second-tier echelon, achieved a sales growth of up to 4 times in January, and the trend of catching up was amazing. "Aftermarket" can be expected

Under the influence of the dual factors of subsidy decline and the tide of car companies' price increases, the opening of new car-making forces in January this year was surprising.

On December 31, 2021, the Ministry of Finance and other four departments jointly issued the Notice on the Financial Subsidy Policy for the Promotion and Application of New Energy Vehicles in 2022, announcing that the subsidy standard for new energy vehicles in 2022 will be reduced by 30% compared with 2021. After the subsidy decline, some car companies announced price increases, resulting in an increase in the cost of car purchases for consumers. For example, on January 21, 2022, BYD announced that it would adjust the official guidance price of its dynasty network and ocean network related new energy models, ranging from 1,000 yuan to 7,000 yuan, and the price adjustment took effect on February 1.

In the face of subsidy decline, there are also car companies, especially the new forces of car manufacturing with more flexible mechanisms, that have set up a subsidy "protection period" to reduce the impact on the market. For example, WEIO announced that users who paid a deposit to purchase ES8, ES6 and EC6 before December 31, 2021 (inclusive) and successfully picked up their cars before March 31, 2022, can still enjoy subsidies in accordance with the 2021 national subsidy standards; Xiaopeng Motors also said that users who paid a deposit from January 1 to 10, 2022 can enjoy the same subsidy policy as in 2021; Nezha Automobile also raised the price of its models on January 1, 2022. Users who announced that they will place orders at the end of 2021 and pick up their cars in 2022 will still enjoy the original car price, and the difference will be borne by the car company. This may be part of the reason why the new car-making forces have not been affected by the great environmental impact, but have continued to grow.

In fact, not only the new forces of car manufacturing, looking at the entire new energy vehicle market, the industry also generally believes that the impact of subsidy decline will not be as great as expected. Cui Dongshu, secretary general of the National Passenger Vehicle Market Information Joint Association, is optimistic that at present, the scale of the mainland new energy automobile industry has ranked at the forefront of the world, and the ability of enterprises to participate in market competition has been significantly enhanced, even if the subsidies decline this year, it will not affect the development of the industry.

At the same time, he also stressed that even if all subsidies for new energy vehicles decline in the future, there are other domestic policies to support the development of the new energy automobile industry: "One is the national level policies such as 'double credit', 'carbon trading', and 'awards in lieu of compensation'; second, some cities have some favorable policies for new energy vehicles in terms of restricting traffic and purchase; third, some local governments also have support policies for the development of new energy vehicles." Therefore, with the entry into a new stage of market-driven, the mainland new energy automobile industry will usher in a period of rapid development. ”

Other industry experts expressed similar views: "The release of the subsidy decline policy marks that the mainland new energy vehicles have fully entered the market-driven stage, although the subsidy decline and the price increase of car companies are unfavorable to consumers, but the current oil price is in a growth trend, and the price of power energy has a greater advantage than oil price and has a greater attraction to consumers." ”

Previously, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (later known as caucus) also predicted that the sales of new energy vehicles in mainland China will reach 5 million in 2022, an increase of 42% year-on-year.
