One, two karma, love died
Born in 1931 in Jinan, Shandong Province, Bi Ke graduated from Jinan Municipal High School at the age of 14 due to his family's poverty. When his father died of illness, his mother asked him to take the family's only money to Bengbu, Anhui Province, to rely on relatives and friends to continue schooling. Unfortunately, at the age of 17, Beck returned to work when his relatives were also in trouble.
In 1949, Bicker came to Shanghai to join a troupe as an actor, good appearance and conversation let him meet a rich family, the girl and him private life but the family stopped, and finally the lover did not hesitate to throw himself into the river martyrdom, leaving only Bicker and a daughter waiting to be fed in the world.
The successive misfortunes of his youth severely affected The character of Bik, who became silent and introverted, and although his appearance was strong, he could not hide the fragility of his heart.
Perhaps it is because of these unfortunate encounters that only BYK can portray the strong and fragile men played by Ken Takakura so vividly.
Second, devote yourself to dubbing, such as fish in the water
In 1952, Beck was admitted to the translation group of Shanghai Film Studio, the predecessor of the Shanghai Film Translation Studio, and became the first generation of voice actors in China. Over the next thirty years, Beck dubbed more than three hundred films in forty-seven countries.
When he first entered the factory, Bicker was also a small radish head, and he could only match a dragon set behind the old actors in the Shanghai Film Studio, one or two sentences. But he never gives up the speculation of the role, even if it is just a line, he must use his heart to understand. His demand for details is simply harsh.

Beck loves dubbing so much that he seems to be able to forget the misfortunes of life. In the 1960s, he began to emerge in the Shanghai Translation Studio, and "Mandarin Dream Revisited" and the classic "The Sound of Music" are his masterpieces. In particular, "The Sound of Music", where he and Li Zi completed the cooperation.
III. Detective Poirot, the protagonist of the feast
In the 1970s, Bicker's dubbing career began to enter a bumper period. The first thing that made him famous was The Massacre on the Nile, detective Poirot. This role is more complex, on the one hand, Poirot is intelligent and wise, and the language is free. On the other hand, he was conceited and a little lazy. Such a role is a classic, and a bad match is a disaster.
Of course, for BYK, this is not a problem. In Su Xiu's words, Bik dubbed like a dragon and a tiger like a tiger. And the well-known characteristics of Bicker's voice, one is good to listen to, the other is good rhythm. In the role of Poirot, Bicker played his characteristics to the fullest.
Especially in the part of Poirot's final case analysis, the large lines of more than twenty minutes long are a challenge for anyone. For such a long line, Bicker did not memorize by rote, he took the script to ensure accuracy, and focused on the rhythm and breath of the language, and the whole line became a classic in one go. In the author's opinion, the interpretation of this line is comparable to the scene in which Zhuge Liang's tongue fights the group of Confucians in the actors.
"Massacre on the Nile" can be called a dubbing feast of Shanghai Translation Studio, it gathers the essence of the whole factory, and BICKER becomes the protagonist of this feast.
The next "Sins in the Sun" Beck is already familiar. Coincidentally, his main opponent in these two Poirot films is Liu Guangning.
Fourth, masculine men, affectionate men
What really makes Beck famous throughout the country is of course "The Hunt", in which Bicker portrays Ken Takakura's steely character of not bowing to bad luck very well. The relationship between Du Qiu and Mayumi and the confrontation with Tang Ta have become classic bridges that fans will never forget.
However, the author believes that "The Hunt" is excellent, but what can better reflect the talents of Ken Takakura and Bike is "The Call of the Distant Mountain", in which Ken Takakura and Bik join forces to dedicate the affectionate man under the appearance of a strong man.
As I said at the beginning, Bicker's family life was unfortunate for a long time, and this misfortune made his personality tend to be introverted, and he loved life but could only bury his feelings deep in his heart, and it was this emotional experience that made Bik and Ken Takakura and their roles agree on another level.
It is also interesting to say that Bik and Ken Takakura are similar in age, and there are similarities in appearance and personality. Ken Takakura thinks that his best Chinese voice is none other than Bik.
Bike contracted the films after Ken Takakura, and the one who played more with him was replaced by Ding Jianhua, a rising star of the Shanghai Translation Studio. Even in "Heavenly Book Of Wonders", Bi Ke also became Ding Jianhua's master once.
5. Classic narration, aftersound around the beam
Another unique feature of Beck's dubbing is narration. He has served as a narrator in classic films such as Les Misérables and Spartacus. Even his last dubbing work was a narration for Siege. His voice is pure, his words are clear, his rhythm is good, and he sounds like even the narration is an art.
Many of the dubbing works about Bike do not have the name of the movie "Nanchang Uprising" in the catalog, but the author always remembers the voice of the narrator, and under careful inspection, it is true that in "Nanchang Uprising", Mr. Bike also has an undercover voiceover for Mr. Zhu, of course, the classic narrator is also him.

Beck's later years, like his youth, were not very happy, and his remarried wife and young son went to the United States to take care of the elders, and he chose to stay reluctantly to give up his voice work. But the eldest son who took care of him died tragically, and Bik's life was even more lonely, and it was fortunate that his favorite dubbing job could accompany him.
Unfortunately, in his later years, Beck suffered from emphysema and asthma, and his voice was still full of charm, but he could no longer control his breath, which was a devastating blow to a voice actor who was striving for excellence.
Ken Takakura's own most satisfactory film is "The RailroadMan", he insisted that the film is still voiced by Bik, for which the Japanese side specially issued an invitation to Bik, Bik very much wanted to complete the film, he tried on the script in the midst of illness and found that his breath and rhythm were uncontrollable, and in the spirit of being responsible for the actors to the audience and the art work, he politely refused Takakura Ken's invitation. The love of a lifetime, the regret of the end.
At the age of seventy in 2001, Beck completed his life, and his colleagues used Poirot's long recording of Poirot's case analysis in "Massacre on the Nile" as background music for the memorial service.
