Xia Lianju

(1884—1965)

【Biography】

Ming Jiquan, puzhai, canal garden, lotus residence, yiweng, Shandong Yuncheng people. During the census of the guqin, two songs were recorded: "Spring Mountain Listening to Cuckoos" and "Chang'an A Piece of The Moon" (that is, "Pounding Clothes"). In 1962, he sang and produced the album "Wind into the Pine", unpublished. The Tibetan qin is quite rich, among which "Ape Howling Qingluo" was later managed by Pinghu. He is the author of "Ten Kinds of Chapters Outside the Canal Garden" and so on. The eldest son of Xia Xinyou, the Viceroy of Yunnan in the Qing Dynasty, he was the secretary of the Presidential Office and a member of the National Assembly in the early years of the Republic of China. He resigned in the 1920s and focused on academics and education. In 1935, he moved to Beiping. In 1955, he was elected vice chairman of the CPPCC Committee of Xicheng District, Beijing.
