The delivery volume of Nezha Automobile in April far exceeded that of Weilai and Ideal Automobile. Daniel Zhang, CEO of Nezha Automobile, said on Weibo that in April 2022, Nezha Automobile completed the delivery of 8813 vehicles, an increase of 120% year-on-year; from January to April 2022, the cumulative delivery volume was 38965 units, an increase of 240% year-on-year.

According to the official website information, Nezha Automobile currently has three main models: Nezha U, Nezha V and Nezha S. Among them, Nezha U and Nezha V are positioned in the middle and low end, starting from 117,800 yuan and 74,900 yuan respectively.

"Affected by the recent epidemic, Xiaopeng Motors has been severely challenged in many aspects such as supply chain, production and logistics and transportation." Xiaopeng Motors said. Ideal Auto's Changzhou base is located in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, in the center of the Yangtze River Delta, while more than 80% of Ideal Auto's parts suppliers are distributed in the Yangtze River Delta region, and a large part of them are located in Shanghai and Kunshan, Jiangsu. Affected by the epidemic in the Yangtze River Delta, some suppliers located in Shanghai and Kunshan, Jiangsu and other regions can not supply, and some suppliers even completely stop work and operation, resulting in the inability to continue production after digestion of existing parts inventory, which has a great impact on the production of Ideal Automobile in April, resulting in delays in the delivery of new cars for some users. Ideal Cars released delivery data showing that Ideal Cars delivered 4167 Ideal ONE units in April. The cumulative delivery volume of the ideal ONE has reached 159971 units. Shen Yanan said: "At present, Ideal Auto is working with supply chain enterprises to actively restore production capacity under the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, and shorten the waiting period for booking ideal ONE users to pick up the car. ”

Affected by the epidemic, WEILAI announced the suspension of production on April 9, and the supply chain recovered slightly on April 14, and the Hefei production base is gradually resuming production. According to data released by WEI, a total of 5,074 smart electric vehicles were delivered in April, of which 693 were delivered in the smart electric flagship car ET7.

The relevant person in charge of Weilai said that in order to meet the continuous growth of order demand, the company also needs to further overcome the pressure brought by the epidemic and supply chain. At present, production is gradually resuming, and we strive to produce more and deliver more.

The industry is highly competitive

Car companies will launch a number of new models in 2022, and the industry is fiercely competitive.

2022 is a new year for NIO, three new models will be launched throughout the year, and NIO's first flagship sedan ET7 mass production car has rolled off the production line at the JAC NIO plant. The second sedan, the ET5, will be put into production at NEOPark, NIO's second production site, and delivery is expected to start in September.
