The overall line is very smooth, and with the closed gap treatment, the vehicle wind resistance coefficient is reduced as much as possible. In terms of body size, the new car is 5125/1959/1718mm in length and width, which is slightly shorter than the EQS, but the height of the car is about 2cm higher than the EQS, and the wheelbase is 3210mm like the EQS. The rear design of the new car is more stable, and it also makes a two-sided exhaust shape of the conventional fuel vehicle on the rear encirclement.
In terms of interior, as a Mercedes-Benz EQ series electric model, the EQS SUV is basically the same as the previous EQS in terms of interior style. The 1.41-meter-wide MBUX superblock runs almost through the A-pillars on both sides, fitting perfectly with custom Corning Gorilla Glass. Three high-definition screens with a resolution of up to 209 PPI bring a very delicate visual effect, and the tactile feedback from the 12 sensors below the screen also makes the operation clearer and more accurate.
The car also adopts the industry's first "zero-level interface", which always places the most core functions at the top of the screen, greatly simplifying the user's operation. The implementation of this function is based on the self-learning ability of the MBUX intelligent human-computer interaction system, and the "Mind Reading Assistant" can push up to 16 customized functional services in many aspects of infotainment, comfort and other vehicle functions.
Meanwhile, the EQS SUV will offer seven interior color combinations, paired with premium leather and wood for a luxurious touch. It is also the first Model of the Mercedes-Benz brand to be equipped with The Dolby Atmos. The system creates a multidimensional sound range covering 360 degrees compared to traditional stereo left and right channels and works with the Burmester Berlin Sound Surround Sound System.
In terms of power, the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV is equipped with a rear axle motor as standard, and the dual-motor model is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor at the front and rear, with a maximum output of up to 400 kilowatts and a peak torque of up to 858 Nm. The car has a battery capacity of 107.8 kWh, a range of 660 km under WLTP conditions, and 10% to 80% of the power when using DC fast charging, it takes only 31 minutes.
In addition, the car is equipped with AIRMATIC air suspension with continuously adjustable damping, which is matched with five dynamic control options (DYNAMIC SELECT).
