On March 31, a Volkswagen Group spokesperson said that the company's Shanghai Anting plant, a joint venture with SAIC, will be partially closed from Thursday (March 31) due to difficulties in purchasing parts during the epidemic. However, it has not been revealed when production will be resumed and which parts and models will be particularly affected.
On March 28, Tesla announced the suspension of production activities at its Shanghai factory, which will last for four days. Later, the suspension date of Tesla's Shanghai factory was extended by one day to April 1.
