At the end of February 2021, the Ministry of Public Security issued the "Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving Licenses (Draft Amendments for Solicitation of Comments)", which made the C6 driver's license emerge. On December 17, 2021, this new regulation was officially released on the official website of the Ministry of Public Security, and the dust on the C6 driver's license was settled.
In the newly promulgated "Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving Licenses", the Ministry of Public Security clarified that light traction trailers are models that are allowed to be driven by motor vehicle drivers, and explicitly increased the C6 driver's license required to drive light traction trailers.
●Admission:
1. The C6 driver's license is the driving license required to drive a light traction trailer. After holding a C6 driver's license, only cars with a total mass of less than 4.5 tons can be driven.
2. The age of applying for a C6 driver's license must be between 20-60 years old, and citizens over the age of 70 will no longer be able to drive a light tractor trailer, and those who have a C6 driver's license can directly change their driver's license for a small car or a small automatic car after they reach the age of 70.
3. The initial applicant for the C6 driver's license is a driver who has a C1 driver's license or a C2 driver's license for one year or more, and has not scored 12 points in the most recent scoring cycle, can apply for an additional C6 driver's license.
4. The content of the examination is the common knowledge of safe and civilized driving in subjects 2 and 3, of which the content of the 2 examination includes the light traction trailer test pile examination, curved driving, and right angle turning. A score of 90 is passed.
●Reminder:
1. In addition to the A2 driver's license that can drive the C6 model, other driver's licenses that want to drive the C6 model need to be increased.
2. If you currently hold a C1 driver's license, you cannot drive a vehicle tow a motorhome or other form of car train from April 1, and you need to carry out C6 additional driving. For drivers who have already held a quasi-driving license for large buses, city buses, medium-sized buses, large trucks, small cars or small automatic cars, if they want to apply for the addition of light traction trailers, they only need to add the corresponding light traction trailer subject 2 examination.
3. There is a one-year internship period after the additional driving, and there can be no full score record during the internship period, otherwise the quasi-driving type of the internship will be cancelled.
