At the 2022 BMW Group Annual Meeting, Mr. Wei Bofan, Director of R&D of the BMW Group, showed the world for the first time some of the design details and technical highlights of the new BMW 7 Series.
The new BMW 7 Series is innovative on the basis of BMW's classic design elements, the front face design has been newly interpreted, and the leading digital features combined with the ultimate ingredients for exclusive luxury create a unique in-car experience. The new generation of the BMW 7 Series, including the innovative pure electric BMW i7, will debut worldwide in April. As BMW's world's first all-electric luxury flagship sedan, the BMW i7 will have a driving range of more than 600 kilometers, bringing more excellent and innovative pure electric driving pleasure.
The launch of the innovative all-electric BMW i7 means that BMW's pure electric product array will expand into the large luxury car segment, and for the first time, the exclusive luxury, respect and comfort of the BMW brand large luxury flagship sedan will be perfectly integrated with zero-emission pure electric driving. The innovative pure electric BMW i7 subversively interprets BMW's classic design elements such as headlights and double kidney grilles, presenting a modern and unique atmospheric appearance. Among them, the daytime running lights above the front of the car are composed of luxurious crystal elements, with BMW ring-shaped shiny grille, which looks imposing and impactful.
Inside, the new BMW 7 Series exemplifies BMW's new understanding of modern luxury. The new My Modes and the latest generation of BMW iDrive operating systems will bring customers an engaging and innovative digital experience. With the new themed mode, the driver can set the driving characteristics and interior atmosphere of the vehicle according to their personal needs, and enjoy a personalized multi-sensory experience with great emotion. The BMW integrated suspended curved screen, together with the BMW Wrap-around interactive light strip that runs through the entire front panel and doors, delivers an unparalleled visual and tactile feel. The BMW Wrap-around Interactive Light Strip combines ambient lighting with functional buttons to make the cockpit modern luxury and futuristic. In addition, the newly designed panoramic orbit canopy creates a more spacious, modern and comfortable interior space. The rear row of the new BMW 7 Series innovatively introduces the BMW floating giant screen, dedicated to creating an exclusive mobile private theater.
