Recently, BMW released a new generation of flagship sedan 7 series and its pure electric version i7, nearly half a month since the world premiere, we do not want to use the stack of data and configuration to analyze and define these two flagship models, after all, this generation of 7 series and i7, with past models have too much difference.

First, the all-new 7 Series and i7 are codenamed G70 and G71, and G is the uniform initial designation for almost all models after BMW entered the CLAR architecture (no exceptions seem). 70 and 71, two adjacent numbers also represent a very close and inseparable relationship between them, to know that G80 M3 and G82 M4, also separated by G81 M3 Touring.
There are good people and people who don't know will immediately shout out, i7 is oil to electricity! This illogical judgment should not become the mainstream voice, and we have repeatedly explained the peculiarities of CLAR: in essence, you can't be ignorant and fearless to expect traditional car companies to magically erase all the fuel vehicles on sale like the "human clearance plan" and shout out the brainless words "Why is the BBA unattractive" without thinking.
The best definition of the future is to define the present. BMW defines the new generation of flagships in multiple ways: personalisation, digitalisation and sustainability. Of course, we are also convinced that these three directions are not only exclusive to the 7 Series and i7, but also the development direction of the BMW Group.

As early as last year's Guangzhou Auto Show, we have already received relevant news, that is, the new generation of 7 series adopts a split headlight design, and the volume of the intake grille is further enlarged, and this news has now been confirmed by the truth. The enlargement of the grille does not really reflect the car's heat dissipation needs and the simultaneous increase in performance performance, but more deliberately creates a sense of solemnity similar to the Parthenon, of course, Rolls-Royce is more in line with this image, but this does not prevent BMW's flagship model from also moving in this direction. This deliberateness is not unfounded or satisfies the selfish desires of the design team with Hoydonk as the big boss, and for BMW now, a stronger and more aggressive design style will get more traffic and sales.
Although we have not yet seen the real car, this generation of 7 Series /i7, obviously completely out of the previous generation of 7 Series (especially before the mid-term redesign) of the elegant and timeless temperament, the characteristics of the pendulum highlight a lot (not pejorative), and the more distinct style with competitors, can be unforgettable.
Personalization also exists in that foldable 31.3-inch 8K resolution display with a 32:9 display ratio, and if combined with the actuator installed in the rear seat (optional, S-class is also available) and the Borger Vegemint 4D Diamond Loop Stereo, which has 36 speakers and a maximum output of 1965W (standard 18 speakers), it is difficult to imagine how shocking it would be if you watch a movie in the rear.

The new BMW 7 Series features seven different themed modes, including four new My Modes for the first time, namely Relax, Expressive, Digital Art, and Theatre. Coupled with the earlier release of the Personal, Sport and Energy Efficient modes, BMW has incorporated rich emotions into stunning innovations, turning the new car into a stage for true self-expression.
Sustainability blends into a luxurious atmosphere
For the first time, the new car offers a Merino leather/cashmere combination interior design. Soft and delicate, natural cashmere materials, together with sparkling crystal-textured interior components, perforated wood accents, and metallic speaker covers, create an elegant, warm and blissful cockpit atmosphere.
The First Class seats have been completely upgraded with back adjustments up to 42.5 degrees and integrated leg rests to create a comfortable experience for rear passengers. i7 simultaneous unveiling
The new BMW 7 Series is the first BMW large luxury sedan to offer multiple drive forms, including all-electric, plug-in hybrid and advanced fuel engine drive systems to meet the customer's diverse choices. As a core member of the family, the innovative BMW i7 is BMW's world's first pure electric luxury flagship sedan, leading the BMW Group's electrification product offensive.
As the most powerful model in the 7 Series, the innovative BMW i7 is equipped with the fifth-generation BMW eDrive system, which will have a range of more than 600 kilometers and bring excellent pure electric driving pleasure.
A little regret
Of course, there are innovations and regrets. We thought the distinctive Carbon Core frame would continue to be on the 7 Series/i7, and since the mass production of the i-brand model in 2013, we've been able to see BMW putting a lot of thought into integrating this lightweight material more deeply into the overall vehicle.
Unfortunately, the glory of the past is gone, replaced by a steel-aluminum hybrid frame that is more cost-effective and easier to process and repair. BMW also reminds us that in civilian mass production vehicles, the popularity of carbon fiber is far less natural than we think.
