Yesterday, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance and other 12 departments proposed to continue to implement new energy vehicle purchase subsidies, charging facilities awards, vehicle and vessel tax reduction and reduction preferential policies in 2022, but the subsidy margin is 30% lower than in 2021.

At the same time, the relevant departments confirmed that the subsidy policy for the purchase of new energy vehicles will be officially terminated in 2022, and vehicles licensed after December 31 this year will no longer be subsidized.

In 2022, the range of new energy subsidies will further decline. Taking ordinary pure electric passenger cars with a range of more than 400 kilometers (the unit price needs to be less than 300,000 yuan) as an example, the purchase of cars in 2021 can enjoy 18,000 yuan of new energy subsidies, and in 2022, this amount will drop to 12,600 yuan.

The subsidy for models with a cruising range greater than 300 kilometers and less than 400 kilometers is 9100 yuan, and the subsidy for plug-in hybrid models is 4800 yuan.

The subsidy policy for the purchase of new energy vehicles implemented since 2013 has greatly promoted the development of the domestic new energy automobile industry and the whole industry chain in the past few years, so that ordinary domestic consumers can understand, recognize and accept and begin to use this new thing in a short period of time.

Until today, the mainland has become the world's largest country in the production, sales and ownership of new energy vehicles, and the rapid development of the new energy automobile industry has also spawned global intelligent electric vehicle representative enterprises such as Weilai, Ideal, and Xiaopeng, making the mainland's new energy vehicle consumption surpass other countries and enter the second stage of intelligence and networking earlier.

The official cancellation of new energy subsidies after 2022 shows that the new energy automobile industry in the mainland has gradually matured and no longer needs policy support and assistance. Domestic new energy enterprises have a relatively complete industrial layout and supply chain system, and have certain control capabilities and backgrounds in cost and product research and development. For ordinary consumers, the above conditions can make the vehicle enterprise better control the production and sales costs, and finally reflected in the market terminal price, which is not much different from before.
