Recently, the official website of Faraday Future (FF) announced that the mass production version of FF 91 will be released at 4 p.m. (PST) local time on February 23.
After five years, the release of "new species" has attracted much attention. First of all, it is different from the traditional electric vehicle model in appearance and has a high degree of recognition. From the current Reuters and FF official photos, it can be seen that the FF 91 looks like a car, and resembles an SUV, with a unique shape of the front and rear light groups, and the rear of the car adopts a slipback design and a two-door design.
From the interior, the interior of the new car is full of screens and full of technology. The car is equipped with a long strip OF LCD instrument, a vertical central control screen, a co-pilot screen, a LCD control screen on the door panel, and a screen on the second row of entertainment displays and doors. The extra-long wheelbase provides good space in the car. As a medium-sized pure electric SUV, the FF 91 production version has a length of more than 5.6 meters and a wheelbase of more than 3 meters.
In terms of power, the new car is based on FF's self-developed variable electric drive chassis architecture (VPA), which was previously reported to be equipped with a 1050 hp electric motor with a peak torque of 1800 Nm. In terms of batteries, lithium-ion battery cells, 130kWh battery packs, and a cruising range of 700 kilometers under NEDC conditions, the final data of the mass production version will be announced on the same day.
The outside world speculates that the car is divided into two versions after the listing: FF 91 Futurist Alliance Edition and FF 91 Futurist Edition.
The new car officially opened for booking in July 2021, with a reservation amount of 50,000 yuan, and some exclusive rights and interests can be obtained by submitting an appointment application. Officials say they have collected more than 14,000 FF 91 bookings, though only 300 have paid for bookings. In July 2021, the FF 91 mass production version officially opened for pre-order. Users need to pay 50,000 yuan as a reservation fee for priority booking to experience the model in advance, and the 50,000 yuan reservation fee can be fully refunded.
