What I read and copied today is an article of Ji Xianlin's essay "Oleander".
Ji Lao's american essay was written in 1962. Although I was not born at that time, I am still impressed by the old man's writing when I read this article now.
"One pot is red and one pot is white. The red flowers made me think of fire, and the white flowers made me think of snow.
Fire and snow are incompatible; but the two pots of flowers bloom harmoniously together, as if there were snow on fire, or fire on snow.
I thought it was very wonderful and interesting in my little mind. ”
This passage describing the two pots of red and white oleanders is concise and beautiful. Worthy of being a master of literature.
Next, it is written that the oleander has a long flowering period and is tough.
The oleander in the moonlight, with jagged leaves and misty flowers, fantasizes about it as a map: Asia, Africa, the sea, sea vessels, ponds, swimming fish and ink bamboo paintings. From far and near, the level is clear and the imagination is reasonable.
The latter part of the article is attached to things. Ji Lao visited Myanmar and said goodbye to oleander, extending the meaning of oleander and symbolizing the friendship between the Chinese and Burmese people.
