Day 686 of south Africa's fight against covid-19 (Thursday 10 February 2022)
The cumulative number of covid-19 infections in South Africa is 3631642, with an increase of 3628. The cumulative number of deaths is 96,502, and the number of new deaths is 213 (the actual number of deaths in a single day is only 22, and the rest are the backlog of previous deaths). The cumulative number of recovered 3491626 cases increased by 2646.
The total number of new coronavirus tests nationwide is 22555062, and 39,376 people have been tested in a single day. The infection rate detected in a single day was 9.21%. The recovery rate was 96.15 per cent. The crude mortality rate was 2.66%. There are 52 countries with more than one million COVID-19 infections worldwide. Cuba, South Korea, Ireland, Bulgaria and others squeezed into the millions. The U.S. ranks first with more than 70 million strong positions. South Africa ranks 19th in the world.
The cumulative number of new crown infections in Hao Province 1177022, an increase of 1250 in a single day. The cumulative recovery of 1147634 cases, the number of new people increased by 572, and the recovery rate was 97.5%. The total number of deaths was 20,505, an increase of 9, and the crude mortality rate was 1.74%.

The leader of the DA Party delivered his "true State of the Union Address" in Cape Town. The President was once again called upon to immediately abolish the state of national catastrophe and allow the economy to recover in its entirety. (Figure 2)
