BMW i4 series models will be officially launched in China in the middle of this year, and the model has a performance version of the i4 mM50 model, although the naming method is not exactly the same, but it plays the role of the M version, which can be called the first combination of pure electric coupe over BMW's M department.
In terms of appearance, the new car is actually basically the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe model, treating its own new generation of pure electric vehicles, BMW has adopted a clearly quite conservative strategy, of course, as an M series style, in the front part, the new car uses a large area of black double kidney grille, blackened headlights and a huge size of the front bumper part of the three-stage black decoration. However, due to the identity of pure electric vehicles, most of the decorations are sealed, leaving only the inverted trapezoidal intake tract as a supplement. The extra black front lip further adds a sense of movement.
On the side of the body. The new car is actually slightly taller than the fuel version of the M4 model, the other is the standard 4 Series Gran Coupe design, large sneaky roof line, semi-hidden door handles and other elements with the M model's iconic large-size wheels, blue brake calipers, special decoration at the fenders, special shaped rearview mirrors and other details, still quite sporty.
In the rear part, due to the lack of bilateral four-out exhaust, the new car is not as high-profile as the fuel version, the small tail wing at the end of the tail cover is quite inconspicuous, and the rear bumper part uses a complex diffuser decoration to retain the flavor of the fuel M model as much as possible.
In the interior part, the new car is of course basically the same as the i4 ordinary version, using a double large size floating LCD screen design, which has a significant improvement in the sense of technology compared with BMW's previous family elements. In addition, there is little difference with the fuel M3 and M4 models, all of which have large-scale carbon fiber decorations, a large number of fur material wrapping, in addition to the blue special details of the gear handle and other elements, will not see the obvious difference with the fuel vehicle. Of course, the second row of seating space is a highlight of the new car, after all, since the M4 model does not plan to launch a Gran Coupe version, the i4 M50 may also be the only choice for the 4 Series performance four-door coupe.
In terms of power, the new car is of course equipped with two motors in front and rear, the maximum power is 258 horsepower and 312 horsepower, forming a comprehensive maximum power of 536 horsepower, the maximum torque of 795 Nm electronically controlled four-wheel drive system, thanks to the lighter body, 100 km acceleration takes only 3.9 seconds, maintaining the same as the fuel version of the M4. Paired with this is an 83.9Kwh battery pack with a WLTP pure electric cruising range of 510km.
Information on when new cars will be available, pricing, and more is yet to be officially released. However, according to the situation of some previous models, the price may not be cheap, and we can only wait and see how it will perform in the future.
