Clean surface, humanized details, the fusion of WEILAI supercar genes and the concept of "design for automatic driving", ET5 absorbs the smooth lines of ET7, the high-performance automatic driving sensor naturally integrated into the body, pure and futuristic; derived from the EP9 muscle contour, coupled with sharp polylines to create a young and energetic image.
Et5's interior space design continues the concept of "second living room", refined and warm. Clean+ eco-friendly fabrics wrap softly around passengers while enhancing the acoustics of the cabin. The invisible air conditioner outlet keeps the dashboard neat and sophisticated. Smart frameless electric suction doors and concealed door handles come standard, with a digital key based on UWB technology for easier access.
The ET5 is equipped with NIO's panoCinema, a digital cockpit with AR/VR technology. NIO and innovative AR equipment company NREAL have jointly developed exclusive AR glasses that can project a large screen with a visual distance of 6 meters and equivalent to 201 inches; and have also cooperated with NOLO to develop NIO VR Glasses, equipped with ultra-thin Pancake optical lenses, which can achieve binocular 4K display. In addition, the 10.2-inch digital meter uses HDR high dynamic range image technology to bring images to life. With cutting-edge hardware systems, continuous software development and content expansion, and a new 256-color digital light curtain mood light and a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos sound system, PanoCinema will bring a unique all-sensory immersion experience in such an exclusive space as ET5.
NIO ET5 is equipped with NIO Autonomous Driving, NIO's latest autonomous driving technology, and through NIO's supersensitive system Aquila and supercomputing platform Adam, ET5 will gradually realize high-speed, urban area, parking, power exchange and other scenarios, and the whole process of safe and relaxed point-to-point automatic driving experience. The full function of NAD adopts the service subscription model of "monthly activation and monthly payment", that is, ADaaS (AD as a Service), the service fee is 680 yuan per month, and the service will be gradually provided after completing the development verification.
Continuing NIO's high-performance genes, ET5 zero to 100 km acceleration of 4.3 seconds, the use of ULCO's high-performance four-piston aluminum alloy integrated cast caliper, 100 km to zero braking distance of 33.9 meters, wind resistance coefficient as low as 0.24, with the application of silicon carbide power module of a new generation of high-efficiency electric drive platform, equipped with standard battery pack (75kWh) CLTC life of more than 550 km, equipped with long battery pack (100 kWh) endurance of more than 700 km, equipped with ultra-long battery pack (150 kWh) range of more than 1000 km.
The ET5 is designed according to C-NCAP and Euro NCAP five-star safety standards, with an ultra-high-strength steel and aluminum hybrid body and a vehicle torsional stiffness of 34,000 N·m/deg. The center of gravity height of the ET5 vehicle is only 482.6mm, with a 1,685mm ultra-wide wheelbase, and the anti-rollover coefficient is 1.7, which exceeds the American NHTSA five-star standard.
ET5 is available in 9 body colors, of which clear space powder and cloud yellow are the exclusive colors of ET5, and the annual color Aerospace Blue will also be installed on ET5.
The starting price is 328,000 yuan before the ET5 subsidy and 258,000 yuan before the BaaS solution subsidy, and delivery is expected to start in September 2022.
At the same time, WEILAI announced that the MEDIUM AND LARGE INTELLIGENT ELECTRIC FLAGSHIP SED CAR ET7 will open the lock order on January 20, 2022, and the delivery will begin on March 28. ET7 sets the standard for autonomous driving computing power and sensors, with more than 100 comfortable, safe and intelligent configurations as standard, and more than 20 new configurations and functions have been enhanced during the preparation process of mass production, including accelerating from zero to 100 kilometers to 3.8 seconds, and optimizing the wind resistance coefficient to 0.208.
Following the entry into the Norwegian market, NIO's products and system-wide services will be officially landed in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark in 2022, and in 2025, it will enter more than 25 countries and regions.
