Geely's Jinan plant will be operational under the code names GC-1 and HL-1, with an annual production capacity of 100,000 units. The online car market learned that Geely's Jinan plant will stop production next year, and will establish a new factory in the local area, transform the backward production line, and switch to the A+ class power-changing after-wheel drive coupe model (SD3A series), with an annual production capacity of 100,000 vehicles. Among them, the SD3A-3 with an annual output of 20,000 units is 4835mm long and has a wheelbase of 2815mm, and the overall size is ahead of the WEILAI ET5, which is also a power-changing model. The Geely SD3A series offers three types of SD3A-1, SD3A-2, and SD3A-3 models, with an annual production capacity of 60,000 units, 20,000 units and 20,000 units respectively from 2024 to 2029. The three models are different in size, with an annual output of 60,000 units of the main sales model SD3A-1 with an annual output of 4750mm and a wheelbase of 2850mm, which is larger than the Geely Maple Leaf 60S. The power of the three models is consistent, all of which are pure electric power of the rear-drive, accelerating within 6 seconds from zero to 100 kilometers, and the WLTP cruising range is more than 550km. It should be pointed out that the project is invested, constructed and operated and managed by Geely's subsidiary Qizheng New Energy Vehicle, and the factory is located at different sites with Jinan Geely Automobile, and there is no support relationship except for the replacement of production capacity and total pollutant emissions. After the completion of the new project, the assets will be further revitalized and the existing resources will be utilized, and Jinan Geely Automobile will be stopped production and replaced by Qizheng New Energy Vehicles.
