According to the information, Volkswagen's Chattanooga plant in Tennessee has produced a total of 800,000 Volkswagen Passats, and the last one is the 2022 Passat Limited Edition model. The Volkswagen Passat's production in the United States dates back to 1974, when the car was called dasher, and the Passat name was launched from the third-generation model that came out in 1990.

At present, Volkswagen's Chattanooga plant in Tennessee is also producing Volkswagen Atlas (corresponding to the domestic model Volkswagen Tuon) SUV and crossover coupe SUV models, and is expected to start production of ID.4 pure electric vehicles later this year.
