However, among these ten people, only three famous anti-Japanese generals belonged to Huangpusheng, and they were Du Yuming, Wang Yaowu, and Dai Anlan, three Huangpusheng generals. Huangpu Phase I Du Yuming
Du Yuming (November 28, 1904 – May 7, 1981) was a native of Mizhi, Shaanxi. Famous anti-Japanese general, lieutenant general of the National Revolutionary Army, backbone of the Whampoa department. In June 1924, he entered the first phase of the Whampoa Military Academy, and after graduation, he made his debut in the National Revolutionary Army's Crusade against Chen Jiongming, successively serving as deputy platoon commander of the military school teaching regiment, lieutenant company commander of the Wuhan Branch Cadet Corps, squadron leader of the Central Army Officer School, commander and regimental commander of the 2nd Division, brigade commander and deputy division commander of the 25th Division of the 17th Army, and participated in the Northern Expedition, the Great Wall War of Resistance, and the Songhu War of Resistance. In November 1939, he was appointed commander of the 5th Army, leading his troops to participate in the Battle of Guinan, commanding the Kunlun Pass in Guinan to fight against Japan, and severely damaging the Japanese Fifth Division, known as the Steel Army. It should be known that among the students of the first phase of Huangpu, it was not only Du Yuming who performed well in the War of Resistance, but also Lin Zheng, Huang Wei, and Zheng Dongguo.
Huangpu PHASE III Wang Yaowu
Wang Yaowu (1904–1968) was a native of Tai'an, Shandong. In November 1924, he was admitted to the Whampoa Military Academy, and in 1937, when the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression began, he led the unit to create the Seventy-fourth Army, successively serving as the commander and deputy commander of the 51st Division of the 74th Army of the National Revolutionary Army, and was promoted to the commander of the 74th Army for his merits. In January 1945, he was promoted to commander of the Fourth Front, and on August 15 of the same year, Japan announced its unconditional surrender and was appointed as the chief officer of the demotion. From the beginning of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression to the end of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Wang Yaowu fought against Japan every year, and his achievements were quite good. It was under his leadership that the 74th Army of the National Revolutionary Army won the title of Anti-Japanese Tiger Army.
Huangpu Phase III Dai Anlan
Dai Anlan (November 25, 1904 – May 26, 1942) was a chinese poet in Renquan Township, Wuwei County, Anhui Province. Dai Anlan fought bloody battles in Gubeikou and the Battle of Taierzhuang, defeated the main force of the Japanese Ninth Division on the Ruiyang Highway (Battle of Wuhan), repelled the Japanese attack on the Aishan position (Battle of Xuzhou), and captured Kunlun Pass and killed Major General Masao Nakamura (Battle of Kunlun Pass). He was the first Chinese soldier to receive the American Medal in World War II. In 1942, he led the 200th Division to Burma as the vanguard of the Chinese Expeditionary Force. He achieved the Battle of Tonggu (annihilating more than 5,000 enemies, while the Japanese army was 4 times the strength of Daibu) and recovering Tangji. On May 18, 1942, he was seriously wounded in the command of the breakthrough battle in the Langke area, and was martyred at 5:40 p.m. on the 26th in the village of Maobang in northern Burma.
During World War II, he served as the commander of the US military stationed in China and the deputy commander of the Southeast Asia Theater, Stilwell, called Dai Anlan: the first person who made meritorious contributions to the great Han Shengwei in a foreign land. After the founding of New China, General Dai Anlan was posthumously recognized as a revolutionary martyr and one of the 100 heroic and exemplary figures who made outstanding contributions to the founding of New China.
