In the matter of cracking down on foreign invaders, Du Yuming has always spared no effort, so he has a high status in the hearts of many people. Du Yuming was a natural general, and after experiencing many wars, he became Chiang Kai-shek's confidant and was trusted by chiang kai-shek.
Although Du Yuming was in the Nationalist Army, he always adhered to his inner principles and rarely complied with those wine bags and rice bags. However, Du Yuming's health was not good, because he had to run around for years of conquest, and he had no time to treat his illness, and many times he was about to go to the battlefield just after being discharged from the hospital.

Du Yuming has always been such a strong man, and it is difficult for us to imagine how depressed General Du, who was invincible on the battlefield, was when he became a prisoner. Many senior Kuomintang officials could not accept such a gap, refused to admit guilt after being captured, and eventually died of depression.
But Du Yuming was a person who could bend and stretch, and after becoming a prisoner, he calmly accepted the transformation of his identity.
Performed quite well during the remodeling and eventually got the opportunity to be pardoned.
According to local reports in Taiwan, Mr. Du lived a very miserable life in prison, and in the Taiwanese media, Gong Delin was used to torture the nationalist prisoners.
However, this is not the case, and the living conditions in Gong deLin are certainly more difficult, because the people who are imprisoned are punished, but they are definitely not torture.
Du Yuming's health has always been bad, and the organization knows his physical condition, so after imprisoning him in Gong Delin, the organization did not let him do any heavy work, but also found a doctor to treat him.
In order to cure Du Yuming's illness, the organization spent a lot of manpower and financial resources. In fact, at that time, the new China had just been established, and all kinds of materials were extremely scarce, but the organization still tried to meet Du Yuming's needs as much as possible.
Du Yuming could not sleep for many years because of illness, in order to alleviate his pain, the organization also specially tailored a pair of plasterboard for him, after which Du Yuming was finally able to get a good night's sleep.
After entering the Gongdelin, Du Yuming naturally felt the concern for him in the organization, and his body gradually recovered, and his state became better and better.
Therefore, he is also very grateful for the organizational policies in his heart, and the process of labor reform is also quite serious.

In fact, in Du Yuming's heart, he never served a political party, and he was able to charge forward during the war not for military merit, nor for wealth, but also for the defense of China.
During the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Du Yuming has been paying close attention to the movements of the Korean battlefield.
When he learned of the great victory of the volunteer army, he was happy from the bottom of his heart, and said that from now on Chinese he would be able to straighten his waist.
In any way, Du Yuming's performance was quite outstanding, and the leaders of our party also visited him specifically to let him recuperate with peace of mind. Among the first list of amnesty granted by Gong Delin was Du Yuming's name, who lived an ordinary life after his release from prison.
Once, when Montgomery came to Visit China, the leader invited Du Yuming to accompany him. At the banquet, Montgomery jokingly asked where Du Yuming's former million-strong army had gone, and Du Yuming didn't mind, laughing and saying that they were all given to Mr. Chen.
Chiang Kai-shek had been calling Du a traitor since he was imprisoned in Gongdelin, because he felt that Du Yuming should have committed suicide when he was first caught. In the face of all the scoldings of Old Jiang, Du only responded with eleven words:
I surrender everything for the sake of the people."
