One day in April 1942, more than 7,000 British soldiers who had just been rescued saw the soldiers of the Chinese Expeditionary Force and knelt on the ground and shouted: "Long live the Chinese soldiers!" ”

This is a scene that takes place on the battlefield of Burma, and the rescue of these British soldiers is Sun Liren, the tiger general of the Chinese Expeditionary Force.

Speaking of Sun Liren, he is not only a high-achieving student of Tsinghua, but also an anti-Japanese hero who fought in bloody battles.

Sun Liren, who was born in Xiangmendi, under the influence of his father, had the ideal of being loyal to the country from an early age, graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of Tsinghua University in his youth, and then changed to military studies when he studied abroad, and was admitted to the Virginia Military School in the United States.

The reason for this decision was because Sun Liren, who was 26 years old at the time, deeply felt the dangerous situation of the motherland surrounded by great powers and the turmoil of the motherland.

In 1928, after graduating from the military academy with excellent results, Sun Liren politely refused the school's invitation to stay in the school to teach, returned to the embrace of the motherland, and began his professional military career, contributing his own strength to the defense of the family and the country.

In 1941, the Pacific War broke out, and China became a member of the World Anti-Fascist War Allied Powers. The following year, the Japanese fascists extended their claws to the British colony of Burma and other countries, when britain had no time to take care of the Far East, and could only pin its hopes on China.

So China formed an expeditionary force to fight in Burma, which was Sun Liren's troops.

After being fiercely attacked by the Chinese Expeditionary Force, the Japanese began to turn their targets to the Anglo-Burmese troops stationed at Nyan Qiang, and the Japanese surrounded them with more than 7,000 people and cut off the water source, trying to force the British to surrender.

At that time, the closest to Ren'anqiang was the 38th Division led by Sun Liren, who was stationed in Mandalay.

More than 7,000 lives were in danger, and Sun Liren insisted on sending troops to rescue him despite the opposition of his superior, Du Yuming. Du Yuming was furious and ordered that he should only be allowed to take the strength of one regiment.

Sun Liren responded at that time: "A regiment is a regiment!" "But can a single regiment rescue more than 7,000 people?" This is undoubtedly a rather difficult task for Sun Liren.

After many reconnaissances, Sun Liren led the 113th Regiment, taking advantage of the Japanese army's negligence, and launched a fierce attack on the Japanese army in the early morning of the day.

In order to prevent the enemy from knowing their own strength, Sun Liren ordered his troops to distract the enemy from knowing the truth. In the end, the officers and men of the 113th Regiment finally won the commanding heights with overwhelming momentum, successfully lifted the "danger of Ren'an Qiang", and more than 7,000 British soldiers were saved.

Since then, Sun Liren has been famous on the battlefield of Burma. There is courage and strategy, and there is also a fist and a patriotic heart, in the War of Resistance Against Japan, Sun Liren's merits are indelible.
