In the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, there were not a small number of people running for the bright future and destiny of the motherland, and the three brothers of the family united to fight for the cause of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. The three brothers of the Liao family each had great courage and extraordinary skills, and became the hero of the Liao clan.
The three liao brothers all graduated from the Whampoa Military Academy and had very high military attainments; although they were in the nationalist army, they were concerned about the party organization and made outstanding contributions to the party's persuasion work at the critical moment of the Liberation War. The three generals have revolted many times, created the myth of the 110th Division of the Nationalist Army, and finally joined our party, and their fates were different.
1. The three brothers of the Liao family
The three Liao brothers were born in Liao Jia Wan, Anhui Province, liao yunzhou, liao yunze and liao yunsheng, and the three joined the army together and were admitted to the Whampoa Military Academy together, and later became senior generals of the Kuomintang. At that time, the Whampoa Military Academy was the best military school in China, and many military experts came out of the Whampoa Military Academy, and once they were admitted to the Whampoa Military Academy, they would inevitably take on heavy responsibilities.
At that time, the Whampoa Military Academy was scheduled to start classes, and students in the same period would have a deep friendship, Liao Yunzhou was a cadet of the fifth phase of Huangpu, and many of his classmates in the same period later became generals. Liao Yunzhou received a communist education as early as the Whampoa Military Academy and understood the ideas of communism, so in 1927 Liao Yunzhou joined the Party.
But because of Liao Yunzhou's status, the party demanded that he continue to go undercover in the ranks of the Kuomintang. Later, he was also promoted from staff officer to regimental commander in the Kuomintang, and was able to assume major responsibilities in the Nationalist army. His brother Liao Yunze was the first cadet of Whampoa, and after graduating from the Whampoa Military Academy, Liao Yunze also began to fight.
Liao Yunsheng is the fourth batch of Huangpu students, in the fourth batch of students is notoriously excellent, three Liao brothers have entered Huangpu, but also let their names let many people know, and left a lot of legends. After graduating, the three brothers also smoothly entered the army to hold important positions, while Liao Yunzhou and his brothers went down different paths.
II. Uprising of the 110th Division
In the later stages of the Liberation War, the Communist Party had shifted from the weak side to the strong side, the Kuomintang was already festering, and many aspiring Kuomintang officers did not want their brothers to be buried in the corruption of the Nationalist army, so many Kuomintang officers were persuaded by our army to surrender, and many troops were recovered without firing a shot.
After the Battle of Huaihai, Liao Yunzhou also realized that the war had entered a critical period, which was a good time to lead an uprising. The war broke out in Xuzhou, Chiang Kai-shek quickly sent reinforcements to Xuzhou, the People's Liberation Army has learned of Chiang Kai-shek's deployment, intends to lead their rescue troops to their own encirclement, but Huang Wei's troops are not soft persimmons, can be pinched at will.
The entire 110th Division put on white towels to show its position, and put Huang Wei's troops in the encirclement circle at key points, Liao Yunzhou's defection was not expected by Chiang Kai-shek, and Huang Wei's troops were completely annihilated by the People's Liberation Army, so Chiang Kai-shek had to abandon the town defense of Xuzhou. Chiang Kai-shek was reluctant to give up the name of the ace unit, the 110th Division, so the next thing to do was to reorganize the 110th Division.
Liao Yunzhou took away a lot of brothers of the 110th Division, at this time the general was needed to re-lead the 110th Division, because the Huai Army's concept of clan office was very strong, so it was better to find others than to find Liao Yunzhou's brother to be the commander of this division, although Chiang Kai-shek also had some concerns, but he did not believe that the three brothers in the family were all Communists. In this way, Chiang Kai-shek transferred the two brothers over.
Iii. The Second Uprising
Liao Yunzhou immediately sent soldiers from the People's Liberation Army to consult with the Liao brothers and take the new 110th Division to revolt on the day. The opportunity must not be lost and will not come again, and when Chiang Kai-shek is slack, he must be dealt a heavy blow. So the day after they arrived at the garrison with their troops, the Liao brothers sent a telegram to the whole country and led the new 110th Division to revolt to belong to the Communists.
Chiang Kai-shek was very angry to learn of this news, and his ace troops revolted twice, leaving him with no place to look at himself. So he ordered that Liao Yunze must be captured alive. In order to protect the Liao brothers, under the arrangement of our Party, let them go to Hong Kong to work, and in Hong Kong they are still active in the front line of the revolution and make outstanding contributions to the liberation of Hong Kong.
Later, the three brothers met again after liberation, and at this time they all became founding generals, especially Liao Yunzhou, who was also awarded the rank of major general at the award ceremony. Liao Yunze held an important position in the CPPCC, and Liao Yunsheng also held an important position in the Nanjing government, and the three brothers even played their strengths to the extreme, and the Communist Party did not fail them.
