Embark on the road of revolution
Guo Rujie is a native of Sichuan, born in 1907, his father is a late Qing Dynasty, originally thought that he could "toad the palace to fold the gui", but because of the imperial examination system was abolished, he was not rewarded.
Therefore, the father's ambition was pinned on the body of his son Guo Rugui, and in 1925, Guo Rugui, who graduated from high school, was sent by his father to Shanghai to study medicine.
Previously, Guo Rujie had participated in many anti-feudal revolutionary movements, believing that studying medicine could not save the country and wanted to devote himself to the revolution.
At that time, Guo Rudong's cousin was a Communist Party member and was the commander of the Sichuan Army.
Under the persuasion of friends and the influence of his cousin, Guo Rujie began to understand that joining the army was the fastest and most effective way to join the revolution. Subsequently, Guo Rujie chose to be admitted to the Whampoa Military Academy and became a professional officer.
But what Guo Rugui did not know was that his cousin had long wanted to defect and defect to Chiang Kai-shek, and the central authorities were also wary of him.
At school, Guo Ruzhi made many friends in the Communist Party and repeatedly expressed to them his desire to join the organization. But because of his cousin's involvement, every time he received a reply, he was "observing for a while."
It was not until 1928 that Guo Rugui joined the Communist Party of China as he wished.
However, the good times did not last long, the Kuomintang broke up, Guo Rudong defected to Chiang Kai-shek, and Guo Rujie lost contact with the party.
Later, in order to curry favor with Chiang Kai-shek and gain trust, his cousin Guo Rudong decided to "purge" the Communist Party around him.
Guo Rujie was also among them, and he was sent to Japan by his cousin to study.
After arriving in Japan, Guo studied diligently, but also completely lost contact with the Communist Party.
After the outbreak of the All-out War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Guo Rugui resolutely embarked on the road back to Japan to resist Japan despite the obstruction of Japanese schools.
Battlefield Tyrant
In 1931, Guo Rujie studied at the tenth term of the Army University, but due to the defection of his cousin, he lost contact with the organization, so he had to stay in the Kuomintang. Guo Ruzhi thought that as long as he could resist Japan, it would be the same everywhere.
Subsequently, Guo Rujie showed outstanding military ability on the battlefield, won many battle achievements, and was appreciated by Chiang Kai-shek and Chen Cheng.
One of the most famous battles was the Battle of Western Hubei. At that time, the disparity between the enemy and our forces was huge, the other side's weapons were advanced, and the numbers were overwhelmingly superior. He asked Chen Cheng to lead several people to discuss countermeasures, and Guo Rujie was also ordered to go to the meeting
At the meeting, Chen Cheng asked several people about their views on the purpose of the Japanese attack. Many people insisted that the enemy wanted food, and only Guo Rujie stood up and said:
"According to the current form, grain is fake, and it is true to destroy our main force!"
He then explained his views in detail and proposed a response.
Chen Cheng admired him, so he decided to fight according to Guo Rugui's ideas.
But then, a telegram came from the front, and the trajectory of the Japanese army was exactly the opposite of Guo Rujie's view, and a large number of troops went to the changde granary.
Chen Cheng was furious and began to suspect Guo Rujie.
But who knows, the next day, the Japanese army began to attack the main force as Guo Rugui expected.
However, the Chinese army, because it had already taken precautions, caught the Japanese army by surprise.
For a time, Chen Cheng was impressed by Guo Rujie, and later reused him. After that, Guo Ruzhi became a confidant of Chen Cheng and Chiang Kai-shek, and his official rank rose all the way, and eventually he became a lieutenant general in the Nationalist army.
Abandon the state and join the Communist Party
Guo Rugui, who entered the upper echelons of the Kuomintang, also had the opportunity to learn more about the shady scenes in the army. In the face of national difficulties, many Kuomintang officers were corrupt and sat on empty pay, but the people were living in difficulty.
Guo Rujie, who did not want to be corrupt, took a very small salary and lacked food and clothing.
This led him to become increasingly disillusioned with the Kuomintang, and in 1945, Guo Rujie met an old classmate who was a member of the Communist Party.
So Guo Rujie immediately expressed to him his desire to return to the Communist Party

But Guo Rujie was a senior Kuomintang general at the time, and no one dared to believe what he said. In desperation, Guo Rujie had to secretly contact the Communist Party many times. Seeing that Guo Rujie was so insistent, the Communist Party had no choice but to send someone to observe him.
Later, everyone found that Guo Rujie took a firm stand, cared about the country and the people, and recognized the concept of the Communist Party. Soon after, the old classmate replied to Guo Rujie:
"You have to go through a test first, and for now, it's more important for you to get intelligence for the organization."
Later, Guo Ruzhi became an important red spy of our party and passed on important information to the Communist Party many times during the Liberation War.
In 1949, some people within the Kuomintang had begun to doubt his identity, so Guo Rujie, then the commander of the Kuomintang 72nd Army, led an uprising and returned to the embrace of the Communist Party.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, because of the fear that explaining Guo Rugui's identity would attract the killing intentions of the Kuomintang, the central government had to continue to conceal it and give him the treatment of the rebel generals, which is why he did not get "reused". In order to protect him, the central authorities also sent special personnel to give him special preferential treatment.
