At that time, there was a saying cloud in the anecdote: "Jiang Zhongyuan sent the coffin, and Zeng Guofan wrapped the package to do the link." It can be seen that Zeng Ji Bang Lian has become a big brand. However, his colleagues could not die twice for a while and a half, and Zeng Guofan's hands were so itchy that he had to take the living (people would die anyway).
Tang Haiqiu (actually a Yiyang native) was a friend of zeng's hometown who unfortunately became the object of practice. According to the "Notes of the South Pavilion", on New Year's Day of a certain year, Tang went to Zeng's mansion to celebrate the New Year, found that there was paper pressed under Zeng's treasure, and wanted to grab it to see it, but the other party swore to die. Tang Haiqiu, because he likes to take drugs, finally failed to live zeng guofan (rhubarb, a pretentious story that does not die without dying). As soon as Tang died, Zeng Guofan could finally hang up his link justifiably:

It was slandered all over Kyushu, and its name followed.

Later, Zeng Guofan was still unsatisfied, and wrote an eight-hundred-word composition, which was the famous "Sacrifice to Tang Hai Qiu Wen". (Embedded zuo jigao is the name of Zuo Zongtang). (Also coincidentally embedded in Zeng Guofan). According to Wu Gongheng's "Couplets", Zuo Zongtang met with guests in his later years, and the content of the conversation was inseparable from two things, one was to boast of his merits in Xinjiang, and the other was to scold Zeng Guofan. However, after Zeng's death, Zuo's bang lian was a big accident.

Zeng Guofan was Li Hongzhang's teacher. When Li was young, he followed Zeng to learn to write poetry. Later, with the rise of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement, Li entered the zengguo curtain and helped the teacher praise paintings, especially the ruler kung fu, which was deeply appreciated by the teacher and was considered an indispensable talent. This pair of banglian not only evaluates Zeng Guofan's life, but also looks at Li Hongzhang's interaction with his mentor, and the heart of fist and fist revealed in the banglian is touching.

Zhang Zhiwan Bang Zeng Guofan:
On the verge of the ice abyss, the hundred generations are sad with Zeng Zizhen;

Zhang Zhiwan (Zhang Zhidong's cousin) and Zeng Guofan were born in the same year (1811 Jiaqing sixteenth year), and he entered the ranks in the twenty-seventh year of Daoguang, nine years later than Zeng Guofan, and was counted as a junior in the field of science. Zhang Zhiwan is the first place in the first division of the department, that is, commonly known as the Champion, and the name of the section is more than the zeng guofan of the third division. In this year, Zeng Guofan was the president of the examination and the minister of the temple examination, but it seems that He never regarded Zhang as a protégé, but treated him as a peer. Zhang Zhiwan was also very successful in his career, and he had made meritorious contributions in the suppression of the Twist army, although not as good as Zeng's immortal feats. When he entered the army and became an official in the dynasty, zeng shi was leading troops to fight in the south, and the two did not have very close contacts. When Zeng Guofan died, Zhang Zhiwan was stepping down from his post as governor of Fujian and Zhejiang and returning to his hometown in Nanpi to recuperate. His painting does not involve personal relations, but is completely a "historical evaluation" of Zeng Guofan by colleagues with equivalent positions.

In addition to sadness, there are no complaints and resentments. Because Zeng Guofan was the governor of Liangjiang in that year, he restrained the soldiers and horses of the four provinces and did not protect him. The words behind the words are: You have made such a great achievement, two important choices I played a key role, but you did not let me come out to do more important things.
