The quieter the heart, the stronger the person (good article recommended)

Zhuangzi said:

"The Tao is born in quiet, virtue is born in humility; happiness is born in frugality, and fate is born in Harmony."

In order for a person to obtain the blessings of honesty and frugality, a long and smooth life, and a humble character, the first step in the end is to have the wisdom of the "Tao".

Where, then, does the wisdom of the Tao come from? It comes where the mind is still.

The Tao Te Ching says:

"To the void pole, keep quiet." All things work together, and I watch them return. ”

If a person can keep his mind quiet from beginning to end, be steadfast in his state of mind, and not be disturbed by external objects.

Over time, something will be achieved.

1: Calm mind is harmonious

There is a saying in "The University":

"Knowing and then being still, being still and then being able to be quiet, being quiet and then being able to be at peace, being able to be safe and then being able to worry, being able to worry and then being able to get."

A person, in the face of sudden irritability, bitterness, anger and even about to erupt into anger.

If you can remind yourself in time to settle down, take a deep breath, and settle down to your impetuous heart, then you can calm your mind.

Once people's emotions are deposited, the brain can reawaken the function of thinking, and after thinking, it will naturally have some experience.

Calming down is the key to self-cultivation, and maintaining the power of meditation all the time is the secret of acquiring a strong personality.

After the first inscription of the late Qing Dynasty minister Zeng Guofan, his heart was very happy, so that after arriving at the official field, he behaved arrogantly and frivolously every day.

Even Zeng Guofan, who often contradicts people, quarrels, and is impetuous, still goes his own way, a conceited appearance of being strong in blood and blood, and not bending over for everything.

Coupled with the lack of experience in the officialdom, when he was in trouble or encountered difficulties, his temper became more and more grumpy and uncertain.

Often because of a small matter, broken things will be angry, to others wanton insults and accusations.

Of course, Zeng Guofan himself vaguely felt that something was wrong with him, but he could not find the symptoms in it.

Until one day, his teacher Tang Jian wrote a "jing" character to him, and Zeng Guofan suddenly realized.

After the empowerment of Daigo, Zeng Guofan insisted on it for decades, meditating daily to recuperate his qi and cultivate his body and mind, and later he lived in an official residence and achieved a great cause.

Chen Shou wrote in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms:

"Zhizheng is that all evil is not born, when the mind is quiet, everything is not impatient, if you think about it and judge, you will not be bothered, and if you use loyalty, you will cooperate near and far." Therefore, the knowledge and the distance are in the body, and the concentration of the multitude is in the heart. ”

As a person, if the ambition is correct, there will be no evil thoughts in the mind;

If you do things, if your mind is quiet, you will not be restless when you encounter all kinds of troubles.

Through careful thinking and firm inner thoughts, then there will be no disputes and other unnecessary frictions in the process of doing things.

Before doing things, first look at whether people's moral character is passed, and loyal and upright people can not only convince others, but also achieve each other.

Therefore, if a person has achieved enough mental calm, then he can close people's hearts in a peaceful environment.

Then, guard against arrogance and impetuosity, cultivate yourself, improve yourself, harvest people's hearts, and achieve careers.

2: When the mind is quiet, things go well

In his family letter to future generations, Zhuge Liang once wrote such a sentence:

"The journey of a husband and a gentleman is to cultivate oneself quietly, to cultivate virtue with frugality, and to have no clear aspirations without being quiet, and to go far without tranquility."

The morality, wisdom and philosophy of the world can come from the process of meditation, thinking, summing up, and epiphany.

If a person encounters a little small thing or a small problem, he will be confused and flustered.

Then, such an unsettled, unsettled person will end in failure whenever there is a challenge and trouble.

And if a person has been doing "quiet self-cultivation" and "thrifty to cultivate morality" behind his back for a while.

Then they will know better that the things of the world are only man-made things, and man-made things pay attention to people's hearts and human nature.

Therefore, if you learn to be a person before doing things, and before you become a person, you know how to cultivate yourself quietly, and you know how to refine yourself in the silence of the mind.

Then, in time, there will be experience, and there will be a small plan, a small strategy, and a small insight after some careful consideration.

When people reach middle age, we encounter more and more challenges and troubles, as well as the pressures and bottlenecks we encounter.

In the face of these tricky things and problems, if a person's heart is chaotic at the beginning, and he cannot calm down in time to think about how to sort out and how to solve them, the situation will become more and more complicated, and the problem will become more and more chaotic.

On the other hand, if the mind is quiet, emotionally stable, and calm, then the mind is clear, and the mind is clear in time to find a way to solve the problem.

Doing things as a person is like this, first knowing why to do it, knowing how to do it, and finally boldly doing it, in order to go out of their own way.

Zeng Guofan said:

"First be quiet, then think about it, and do it when you grasp it in five or six points."

Many times, things come, problems come, pressure is forced, first calm down, think about it.

It doesn't take long for you to come up with a good method, and you may even think that your method is very feasible, and then you will boldly do it.

The more things to do, the more problems to solve, the natural experience is also there, and then with life experience and professional skills, things are naturally more convenient.

3: A calm mind is a strong person

In the New Edition of Zhaode, it is written:

"The water static pole is clear, and the heart is wise."

The quieter the mind, the more wisdom there is, and the more wisdom there is, the stronger the person becomes.

The general pattern of man has always been supported by his own knowledge, vision, vision, vision, insight and wisdom.

Just as the more quiet the lake, the clearer the reflection you see, the calmer your mind, you know what you are thinking about, and you know what kind of road you are walking on.

There is such an interesting story in "Zhuangzi":

He continued to train cockfighting for forty days until he saw that he no longer had any reaction to the other cockfighting, and reached the point of "looking like a wooden chicken." At this time, other cockfighters saw it and would look at the wind and flee.

This is the story of "stupid wooden chicken".

A chicken, standing in place, motionless, heart like water, calm, cold eyes, such an aura, such a boldness, is the power generated by the stillness of the heart, so that other fighting cocks see it, they all run away.

If you do this, won't you be able to explode with greater energy?

Master Nan Huaijin once said:

"The energy of life comes from tranquility."

May we all be able to be quiet people, quietly observing, quietly thinking, quietly tempering, quietly powerful, quietly calm.

Then, read the wisdom of life, feel the joy of life, and the abundance of the soul.
