Zuo Zongtang Memorial Hall is a commemorative thematic museum for researching, displaying and publicizing Zuo Zongtang's life and deeds, and is now the National Defense Education Base for the Whole People of Hunan Province and the Patriotic Education Base at the municipal level in Yueyang City. In order to fully implement the Opinions of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council on the Implementation of the Project for the Inheritance and Development of China's Excellent Traditional Culture, further strengthen the protection and utilization of cultural relics and the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage in our county, dig deep into the Zuo Zongtang culture, inherit the spirit of Zuo Gong, and make the cultural brand of "Zuo Gong's Hometown, Beautiful Xiangyin" bigger and stronger, in accordance with the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Cultural Relics", "Regulations on the Implementation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Cultural Relics", "Regulations on museums" and other relevant laws and regulations, after research, it was decided, Relevant cultural relics are now open to the public.

1. Scope of Solicitation

Zuo Zongtang's physical supplies and documents, as well as various representative historical witnesses of major historical events and figures of the same era related to Zuo Zongtang.

2. Content of the Solicitation

1. The original physical documents such as books, seals, school supplies, daily necessities, office supplies, furniture, family letters, calligraphy works and transportation tools used by Zuo Zongtang.

2. The chapters and instructions between Zuo Zongtang and the Qing court, as well as correspondence documents with personnel from all sides.

3. Related weapons and equipment, costumes, etc. related to Zuo Zongtang's contemporaries (including: Qing court, Xiang Army, Chu Army, etc.).

4. Famous figures in later generations evaluated Zuo Zongtang's handwritten letters, authoritative newspapers, plaques, periodicals and other materials.

3. Solicitation Requirements

1. The items held by the provider must have ownership.

2. The items held by the provider must be in the lawful collection of the applicant.

3. The provider should be able to clearly express his or her own application intentions; or the applicant should designate a client to express his or her willingness to apply.

4. The provider must write a text description of about 100 words. The content includes basic elements such as owner, source, type, texture, event, and more.

4. Solicitation methods

1. Donation. According to the nature and needs of the Zuo Zongtang Memorial Hall, through various channels, the cultural relics of Zuo Gong who meet the criteria for entering Tibet are purposefully collected. The first is to mobilize the Zuo family to donate. The second is to encourage people from all walks of life to donate. The third is to collect relevant cultural relics in the county's organs, groups, and non-governmental collection organizations. (Such as archives, libraries, Zuo Zongtang Research Society, etc.) The fourth is to collect relevant documents from the National Museum, the Provincial Museum, the Provincial Museum of Culture and History, the Provincial Library, etc. For all kinds of cultural relics and collections collected, the Zuo Zongtang Memorial Hall will issue a certificate with the name of the donor indicated when exhibiting. Donors may be appropriately rewarded with collections of significant artistic, research and scientific value.

2. Acquisitions. In accordance with the principle of voluntary sale, the collection to be acquired shall be appraised and evaluated by the expert group, and the collection that meets the standards for admission and exhibition shall be determined, and the two sides shall negotiate to determine the purchase price, sign relevant agreements, and submit it to the leading group for the collection of cultural relics for approval before acquiring it. Collectors must make a commitment to determine the legal source of the collection of cultural relics for sale and handle the legality of the source of cultural relics.

3. Escrow. If the collector retains the ownership of the cultural relics and collections and is willing to entrust the Zuo Zongtang Memorial Hall to keep it on its behalf, the two parties sign a written agreement, and the Zuo Zongtang Memorial Hall will be included in the management of the cultural relics warehouse and do a good job of scientific protection free of charge. It shall be used reasonably with the consent of the collector and shall be named according to the collector's wishes. Collectors can view the cultural relics and historical materials in custody at any time after making an appointment.

4. Imitation. Collectors who do not wish to publish the original objects and materials shall return the originals with the consent of the collectors.
