On April 29, sponsored by the Chinese Academy of History, organized by the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of History and the China Archaeological Museum, the "Dragon: Totem of the Chinese Nation - Chinese 8,000-year-old Dragon Culture Fine Cultural Relics Exhibition" was launched at the China Archaeological Museum.

The reporter learned that a total of 23 archaeological and cultural institutions across the country participated in the special exhibition, covering 112 dragon-themed cultural relics excavated from more than 30 important sites such as Hongshan, Lingjiatan, Liangzhu, Sanxingdui, Yinxu, etc., many of which were exhibited for the first time.

The exhibition tells the public about the origin, development and evolution of China's 8,000-year-old dragon culture, as well as the historical value and practical significance of the dragon as a totem of the Chinese nation, through three themes: Dragon Goes Out of the East, Dragon Travels the World, and Longze Four Seas, supplemented by pictures, videos, three-dimensional displays, etc.

The special exhibition will run from April 29, 2024 to December 31, 2024, and is open to the public from 9:00 to 17:00 every Wednesday to Sunday. Visitors can make reservations for special exhibition tickets at the special exhibition window through the WeChat official account reservation system of the Archaeological Museum of China 3 days in advance.
