Summary of the first day
Maserati MSG Racing maintained its record for consistent points since the start of the race, picking up points again in the opening round of Formula E in Misano in 2024, with Gunther finishing on the podium in his opening race at home turf.
The team, which had just won the Tokyo Grand Prix, entered the race with a positive mindset and hoped to continue their success in Italy.
Despite a poor performance in the practice round, Gunther continued to qualify, progressing from Group A to the final and finishing seventh in the main event. Teammate Jehan, meanwhile, started in 19th place at the start of the race after losing the push lap in the final round of qualifying.
Both drivers got off to a clean start and didn't collide. With Formula E's style returning to a group competition model, where energy conservation was the primary goal for every driver, Günther fell behind in ninth on the opening lap, while Jerhan made it to 14th.
The drivers followed a strategy to conserve energy, which led to an ever-changing race standings. Gunther took advantage of the situation and quickly launched a storm and retained his position in second place. On lap 3, he activated Attack Mode for the first time and competed fiercely with other drivers before finishing slightly behind in fourth place.
The 26-year-old, who was on the podium all the way through, used attack mode again on lap 17 to put pressure on his rivals before sprinting to the finish.
Jehan was more cautious and strategic in his drive, following the pack and looking for an opportunity to break into the top 10 in the hope of scoring his first Formula E points in this race.
Despite his best performance since the start of the season, a collision on the final lap prevented Jehan from finishing.

Summary of the next day's event
Maserati MSG Racing's Jehan finished ninth in the second round of the 2024 Formula E Misano Championship, finishing in the top 10 for the first time and earning points.
In qualifying for the second round of home events, Gunther narrowly ended the final and started from 12th place, while Jehan started from 21st due to a poor qualifying lap.
Although the round was only 26 laps, it was a group racing style, with Gunther and Jehan in a fierce race from the start to the finish.
With a strong start, Gunther moved up to seventh place on the opening lap, while Jehan fell behind with uncontrolled traction at the start.
On lap five, Gunther activated his first attack mode and began to push for the top five. On lap eight, Robin Frijns' accident caused the safety car to come in.
The safety car provided Jaehan with a crucial opportunity to catch up with the large group. When the race returned to normal after lap nine, the Indian driver started a powerful comeback in a spectacular way.
Following the assembled car line, Jehan quickly pursued from 20th to 16th and continued to push forward, eventually using the remaining energy to make it into the top 10 on the final lap.
Gunter, meanwhile, activated his attack mode for the second time and cemented his fifth-place position on the field with a strong strength, but a late incident caused him to drop in the rankings. Despite finishing ninth, the penalty after the race dropped Gunter to 12th.
Ninth place finisher, Jerhan scored points for the first time in Formula E Season 10, making Maserati MSG one of the few teams to hold a 100 per cent scoring record in a Season 10 race.
The next race of the Formula E event will take place in Monaco on April 27.

"I had a good first round but I had an accident on the last lap. And to get my first points of the season in the second round is very exciting. Although I started from the back row, I managed to finish in the top 10 for the first time this season with the right strategy. My goal is to get better results in the future. "The qualifying weekend was not very impressive. Still, our pace of play allowed us to take advantage of the counter-attack. In both races, the drivers were able to make their way to the top even after starting from outside the top 10.
