"The Record of Awakening garden" (Commentary), edited by Li Tiaoyuan and edited by Jiang Yuxiang, Sichuan People's Publishing House, June 2021
The writings are written by famous masters, and the relevant content is often in the population, but there has been no reliable reading, and the "Awakening Garden" is one of them. This recipe, which was hand-copied and compiled by the father and son of Sichuan historical and cultural celebrities Li Huanan and Li Qiaoyuan during the Qianjia period, has played a key role in the history of the development of Sichuan cuisine, but compared with Li Qiaoyuan's poetry collection, it has been unduly snubbed. Now this regret has been made up. Annotating the Awakening Garden is not a simple matter, and one must be familiar with Lee's poetry, as well as with the history of food and other related works, in order to be able to do so. The beginning of this book has a long sequence, and a concise analysis of the integration and development process of the "Awakening Garden" and Sichuan cuisine shows the depth of efforts of the commentators.
The Complete Works of Yu Fan, by Yu Fan, Phoenix Publishing House, August 2021
It is a trail, but it may be the best carrier to show the beauty of the text in a very refined form and reflect the thickness of the author's abdomen. The master of traditional Chinese studies, Yu Quyuan, was also a master of the Lian, and Liu Linsheng's "History of Chinese Literature" said in the chapter "Lianyu": "The promotion of Lianyu should be based on Zeng Guofan as the first person. Zeng Wenzheng was known as a famous scholar of ancient Chinese,...... His self-written associations, with great rate in the midst of majesty and vitality, have their own deep and graceful beauty", "At that time, Qunyan and Zeng Wenzheng had the same hobbies, and those who did more should push Xue Shiyu, He Shaoji, Peng Yulin and Yu Fan". In the Emperor's dozens of huge volumes of the "Complete Works of Yu Fan", this volume is a small book, but it should not be missed.
"Gong Dingzi and the Literary Circle of the Early Qing Dynasty", by Deng Miaoci, Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House, April 2021
The study of literature, art and history during the Ming, Qing, and Yi dynasties is a small hot topic in academic circles. However, compared with Qian Qianyi and Wu Weiye, Gong Dingzi, who is one of the "three great people of Jiang Zuo", was quite snubbed. Shen Deqian's "Collection of Qing Poems" says that Gong's poems are "more than the passages of feasting and drinking than the hanging of the landing", which is "inferior" to Qian Wu'er, revealing one of the reasons. But if it is not limited to poetry, with Gong's prominent position in the dynasty and his style of making friends with all kinds of people, the historical value of his works may still be above Qian Wu. This book can almost be called a pioneering work of Gong Dingzi's research. But it is also a pity that the focus is still on literature and art rather than history.
A Study of The Commercial History of the Song Dynasty, by Si Bo Yixin, Zhejiang University Press, May 2021
Mr. Si Bo Yixin also wrote "Research on the Economic History of Jiangnan in the Song Dynasty", which was launched by the Jiangsu People's Publishing House "Overseas China Studies Series" a few years ago and was welcomed by the reading circles. This book was written before, but it is only transplanted now, and the fate of the book is sometimes really similar to that of people. But delaying publication is not entirely without positive implications, at least allowing time to brush up and verify. According to the postscript, the translator contacted Mr. Spoky-shin before publication to ask for revisions, and the author simply stated that "there is no need for revisions". Mr. Spokyishin's academic self-confidence is on the horizon. Whether this confidence makes sense or not, the reader will know at a glance.
