Among the more than a thousand founding generals of New China, almost every general has his own legendary experience. Among the 177 founding lieutenant generals, Zeng Guohua's life can be described as bumpy, he was sold by his father at the age of 3, experienced a lot of hardships, and became a generation of generals.
Zeng Guohua was born in 1910 in Wuhua County, Guangdong Province, his father was an accountant, at that time, it was a job that could easily make ends meet, but Zeng Guohua's family had too many children, a total of 12 children, and his father's meager income could not afford such a large expense, and life became increasingly difficult. In desperation, in order not to let these children endure hunger, the father endured the pain of selling Zeng Guohua, who was only 3 years old, to a local family surnamed Lü as an adopted son. Who would have thought that this family was not a kind person, and they scolded the young Zeng Guohua.
After Zeng Guohua arrived at the Lu family, his adoptive father and mother, who originally had no children, gave birth to their own children. Since then, they have been even more indifferent to Zeng Guohua. In 1924, when Zeng Guohua was 14 years old, he could no longer bear the abuse of his adoptive parents and chose to run away from home.
After leaving home, Zeng Guohua chose to join the army, he joined the Kuomintang troops, and participated in the Northern Expedition. In 1930, Zeng Guohua was incorporated into the Kuomintang 52nd Division, during which time he always wanted to join the Red Army, but did not have the opportunity. It was not until 1931, when Zeng Guohua's 52nd Division was defeated by the Red Army, that Zeng Guohua had the opportunity to join the Red Army and become a Red Army soldier.
Zeng Guohua was very brave in battle, and in 1934 he was promoted to the company commander of the 6th Company of the 2nd Battalion of the 5th Red Regiment, and participated in the Long March with the Red Army. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, Zeng Guohua also participated in the Battle of Pingxingguan, where he led his army to capture the commanding heights and intercept the vanguard of the Japanese army. The Battle of Pingxingguan was also the first victory since the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, annihilating more than a thousand enemy troops and shattering the "myth" of the invincibility of the Japanese army.
After the founding of New China, Zeng Guohua served as the commander of the Air Force of the people's liberation army of the Chinese, and in the face of the areas he had not touched, Zeng Guohua humbly asked for advice, from the earth to the sky, he was not afraid. In order to do a better job in his work and face obscure professional knowledge, he went to the Andong China-DPRK People's Air Force Joint Command to study. While studying hard, he asked professionals for advice, and actively devoted himself to practice, trying to do his best.
In 1955, Zeng Guohua was awarded the rank of founding lieutenant general. Who would have thought that a child who was sold at the age of 3 would grow up to be a general. After that, Zeng Guohua returned to his hometown after nearly 30 years of absence, and no one could recognize him anymore. At that time, his father was 90 years old and did not recognize him.

After Zeng Guohua revealed his identity, the old man was left in tears, and his heart was full of mixed feelings, and he could not speak for a while. Later, Zeng Guohua served as deputy commander of the Guangxi Military Region and deputy commander of the Air Force.
In 1978, Zeng Guohua died of illness at the age of 68.
