Changchun, December 14 (Sun Boyan, Gao Long'an) On the 14th, faw jiefang J7 vehicle intelligent factory, a key project of China's "automobile city" Changchun, was officially completed and put into operation. On the same day, the first mass-produced J7 heavy-duty truck produced at the plant rolled off the production line.
On July 13, 1956, the first domestic Jiefang brand automobile in New China drove off the assembly line from Changchun First Automobile Manufacturing Plant. In 2020, Jiefang Automobile achieved sales of 474,000 vehicles, achieving the "five consecutive championships" of heavy-duty trucks in the Chinese market, the "four consecutive championships" of medium- and heavy-duty trucks, and the world's first sales volume for three consecutive years. On July 13 this year, the 8 millionth Jiefang car rolled off the production line.
The newly put into operation of FAW Jiefang J7 Vehicle Intelligent Factory is a world-class commercial vehicle "intelligent" manufacturing base. Hu Hanjie, chairman of THE BOARD OF CHAIRMAN AND SECRETARY OF THE PARTY COMMITTEE OF FAW JIEFANG, introduced that the plant covers an area of 55,500 square meters and has a design annual production capacity of 50,000 vehicles.
The reporter learned that relying on the latest digital technologies such as industrial Internet and big data, the factory pioneered the intelligent assembly technology of tires in the global commercial vehicle industry in which robots and AGVs are coordinated and unmanned, and many technologies such as intelligent online calibration of complete vehicles, automatic unloading and intelligent marshalling of frames, and intelligent laser engraving of functional holes in China's domestic commercial vehicle industry. Its completion and production has provided acceleration for FAW Jiefang to become one of the world's top commercial vehicle brands.
Xu Liuping, chairman of China FAW and secretary of the party committee, said that the completion and operation of faw's Jiefang J7 vehicle intelligent factory has made Jiefang Truck begin to move towards a new stage of high-end intelligence and green environmental protection, marking the transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry in Jilin Province.
On the same day, another key project of Changchun International Automobile City also ushered in an important node, and the first tire of Jilin Linglong Tire Intelligent Factory Project All Steel was officially rolled off the production line. It is reported that the project is the seventh production base of Shandong Linglong Tire Co., Ltd. in the global layout. (End)
