Lu Bensheng introduced that the builders considered the environmental protection of the Yellow River ecological basin from the design stage, and in the construction stage, the bridge deck runoff collection system was installed, and the collection ponds and sedimentation ponds were set up on both sides, such as rainwater will flow into the sedimentation pond, and the bridge deck runoff after the pollution accident will enter the collection pond for timely treatment to ensure the safety of drinking water.
In the planning and design of the bridge, we strive to shorten and smooth the area of the Yellow River, and reduce the disturbance to the ecology of the Yellow River by increasing the span and reducing the piers in the water.
Lu Bensheng introduced, the Yellow River special bridge on the river span is very large, 240 meters, the weight of the box girder is quite high, developed the "beam bottom hanging beam transport beam" technology, the traditional beam to build a temporary pier in the river, affecting the river traffic capacity, will also cause water pollution, new technology does not interfere with the water body, complete the operation in the air. The Great West Ring Project does a good job in the ecological protection of the Yellow River Basin from the whole cycle of design and construction, and strives to create a "cross-mother river ecological model project". After the completion of the project, together with the Great North Ring Road, the Great East Ring Road and the Great South Ring Road, Jinan's new outer ring road was formed, and a new expressway parallel to the Beijing-Taiwan Expressway was added, providing new options for transit vehicles and improving the overall efficiency of the road network.
