On May 13, the reporter saw in the tea team of Ganggang Village, Jinggongqiao Town, that on the construction site of the Zheping to the port section of the small and medium-sized river comprehensive treatment project, forklifts and mixers were working at full power, and the workers were busy laying the last section of the trail.
"The entire project is expected to be completed by the end of May. After the completion of the project, it will improve the water quality and flood carrying capacity of the river, beautify the environment of villages along the way, and help rural revitalization. Wu Peng, the person in charge of the treatment project from Zheping to the port section of Xiaobeigang, said.
The Xiaobeigang River is a first-class tributary of the Changjiang River, and the river channel in Xihu Township and Jinggongqiao Town is relatively narrow, and the riverbed continues to rise, so the ability to carry floods and drain water is limited.
In October 2023, our county will start the comprehensive management of the river. The governance scope is from one kilometer upstream of Fengjiayan, Zheping Village, Xihu Township to Dagang Bridge, Gangbei Village, Jinggongqiao Town, with a total length of 16.26 kilometers and a total investment of 17.1444 million yuan. The project involves 11 natural villages of 3 village committees, including Zheping in Xihu Township and Gangbei in Jinggongqiao Town, with an area of 5,200 acres of cultivated land and a population of 6,300 people.
At present, about 90% of the total construction volume of the project has been completed, of which the river dredging branch project, the reconstruction of the high beach machine farming bridge and the construction of the laundry wharf have been completed.
