Solid progress has been made in the improvement of the ecological environment in the Yellow River Basin, and the cleaning and improvement of rivers and ditches have been carried out. There are 18 large and small rivers in Hequ County, including 15 first-class tributaries of the Yellow River and 3 second-class tributaries.
In the past few days, at the Wujiagou river treatment site in Hequ County, the construction personnel are in full swing to carry out the river shaping and dredging and slag removal project. By combining the surrounding landform, the river channel is shaped to stabilize the slope and eliminate potential safety hazards. By dredging the river through the combination of siltation, the drainage system and water quality of the river can be improved, and the risk of waterlogging can be reduced.
The Wujiagou River originates in the south of Qiandali Village, Liujiata Town, Hequ County, flows from east to west through Dataa Village, Zhoujia Village, Bailuquan Village, Jiajia Village, and Jiajia Village, and then turns to the southwest, flows through Wujiashaliang Village, Wenbi Town, turns around in Daiyuedian Village, Wenbi Town, and flows from north to south through Yangjiazhai Village and Pav Village, Xunzhen Town. The length of the river is 20 km, and the basin area is 53.4 km². Some sections of the river and the slope in the river are mostly soil slope vegetation, which is easy to cause slope loss in the rainy season, forming river siltation, and there are potential flood safety hazards. Recently, our county has carried out ecological restoration and management of the Wujiagou River through shaping, dredging, greening, sewage interception and other treatment methods, restored the river and the ecosystem on both banks, and ensured the ecological environment and flood safety of the river.
This year, our county has made every effort to do a good job in the management of "three rivers and three roads", implemented 15 projects on the main and tributaries of the Yellow River, the county river, the Zhujiachuan river and other main tributaries and along the line, and adopted comprehensive measures such as embankment, bank protection, dredging and greening, and strengthened the comprehensive improvement of the ecological environment and landscape improvement. At present, all 15 projects have started construction and are in full swing, and it is expected that 9 projects can be completed by the end of May. After remediation, the natural appearance of the river embankment in our county has been restored, the ecological environment around the river ditch is more beautiful, the quality of the living environment of rural residents has been significantly improved, and the beautiful vision of "clear water, smooth river, green bank and beautiful scenery" is gradually being realized, and new vitality has been injected into rural revitalization through river governance and ditch ecological construction.
