Last month, the luxury car segment retailed 160,000 units, down 3% year-on-year and 44% month-on-month, failing to continue the trend in January. Self-owned brand retail sales reached 540,000 units, up 14% year-on-year and down 42% month-on-month. The domestic retail share of independent brands in February was 44%, an increase of 4.3 percentage points year-on-year. The cumulative share from January to February was 44%, an increase of 4.7 percentage points compared with the same period in 2021. Haval H6 fell to the altar again, ANDD's new energy field is dominant
In terms of monthly sales of car companies, FAW-Volkswagen dominated last month with 104,940 vehicles, but it fell by 9.6% year-on-year. In second place is BYD, which is somewhat surprising. Since the fourth quarter of last year, the brand has continued to perform amazingly, with a three-digit increase at every turn. BYD's sales reached 89,102 units in February, more than four times the same period last year. SAIC Volkswagen and SAIC-GM ranked third and fourth with 8,015 units and 73,021 vehicles, respectively. Changan Automobile, which once ranked second in January, slipped to seventh place in February, down 37.6% year-on-year, and Great Wall Motors also fell 18.3% year-on-year, barely retaining the tenth place. In terms of the ranking of new energy vehicle companies, BYD topped the monthly sales list with 86,669 vehicles, more than saic-GM-Wuling, Tesla, Geely, Chery and GAC E-An, which ranked second to sixth.
In terms of model segmentation, the sedan is still xuanyi occupying the top spot, with sales of 28519 units, and langyi is second with a gap of less than 2,000 units. In February, the sales volume exceeded 20,000 hongguang MINI and BYD Qin, which sold 26,116 vehicles and 24,501 vehicles respectively, especially BYD Qin, which sold less than 2,000 units in the same period last year.
In the field of SUVs, the only segment where the "overlord" was picked down in February, the "national god car" Haval H6 sold less than 20,000 units, slipping to the third place, only selling more than 100 more than the Model Y. BYD Song won the monthly sales championship with 24,532 vehicles, and CR-V sales also exceeded 20,000 to 22,260.
In the MPV market, Wuling Hongguang's sales crown position is still stable. Although monthly sales last month were only 17,847 units, down 16.9% year-on-year, the Buick GL8, which is still in second place, is nearly doubled. The Trumpchi M8 was the highest-growth model in the MPV TOP10, up 87% year-on-year. You know, a month ago, the model was still outside the top ten. The monthly sales of new energy vehicles is still Hongguang MINI, which beats BYD Qin with sales of 26,116 units, which reached 24,501 units.
