According to the data, the cumulative sales of new energy vehicle terminals in mainland China in 2021 will be 2.8832 million units, accounting for 13.88% of the total sales of passenger cars.
Specifically, the cumulative sales of pure electric vehicles were 2.3611 million units, and the sales trend showed a gradual upward trend, accounting for 6.63% of passenger car sales in the first quarter, 9.19% of passenger car sales in the second quarter, 12.77% of passenger car sales in the third quarter, 16.77% of passenger car sales in the fourth quarter, and 11.37% of pure electric passenger car terminal sales in the whole year.
Sales of new energy vehicles in 2021
From a regional point of view, East China accounted for the highest proportion, with a total of 1.1725 million new energy passenger cars sold in the region in 2021, accounting for more than 40%; followed by South China, which sold 578,600 units last year, accounting for 20.06%. This was followed by sales of 381,100 units in central China, accounting for 13.21%, and sales in north China of 371,800 units, accounting for 12.89%.
It is worth mentioning that in 2021, the C-end sales of pure electric vehicles will account for 70%, and the C sales of new energy passenger cars will account for more than 87.86%. Among the operating vehicles, the total sales of new energy passenger vehicles in 2021 will be 354,900 units, of which 342,700 are pure electric vehicles, accounting for more than 60%. In addition, in terms of manufacturers, BYD, SAIC-GM-Wuling, and Tesla (China) are the top three in terms of sales.
