Porsche said the new electric version of the 718 model will be officially launched in 2025. At the same time, the new generation of Porsche 911 will also partially abandon the fuel engine and will use an unplugged hybrid system. Even though most fuel vehicles will be phased out, Porsche still wants to develop synthetic fuels to continue selling fuel versions of sports cars. However, its decision to make the fully electrified 718 model may come as a bit of a surprise. Compared with the Porsche 718, the Porsche 911 will be more like the star model of Porsche, and it will also inherit more of Porsche's traditions, so Porsche may provide more room for development of the 911 model in the future.
Porsche pure electric sports car Taycan
The Porsche 718 is only the third pure electric model it has launched, and the company's first pure electric sports car, the Taycan, has achieved good sales after its launch, which may also be an important reason why Porsche decided to fully electrify the 718. Although the Taycan has a heavier weight than the average Porsche sports car because of the addition of batteries, it does not have much difference in driving sensation and the average fuel car.
