The EU is not worried about a military conflict between Russia and Ukraine, but has begun to make necessary preparations for a possible war in the Taiwan Strait.

Even if Kiev has repeatedly called for help, it is not clear that the EU has any substantial help to Ukraine. There are only two things the EU can do at the moment:

The first is to make contact with Russia and ask Russia to raise its noble hand.

The second is the threat of larger and stronger sanctions against Russia. As for the specific content, the EU did not mention much, it is estimated that the EU also feels that sanctions are not needed, and asks Russia not to do it.

However, with regard to the situation in the Taiwan Strait, the EU has shown a rare solemnity. Just on February 8, the European Union announced the "European Semiconductor Chip Act", allocating 43 billion euros to ensure a stable supply of European chips and reduce dependence on Asia (in fact, it is mainly to reduce dependence on Taiwan Province). After the implementation of the chip law, Europe's semiconductor production will increase by 4 times by 2030, which will ensure that Europe can obtain semiconductor supply from local factories.

On February 9, Breton, the European Union's executive commissioner for the internal market, made it clear that if Taiwan Province stopped exporting semiconductors, global factories would cease to operate within three weeks. He stressed that more than 50% of the EU's semiconductor demand depends on Taiwan Province, so there are major economic risks. If a military conflict breaks out in the Taiwan Strait, it will cause an "industrial disaster."

Although the DPP authorities regard the chip industry as a "sacred mountain for the province", it is Europe and the United States that first dig up the foundation of this "sacred mountain". Europe and the United States pay lip service to Taiwan Province as a "small partner," but in fact they are constantly taking away the last bit of valuable things from the "little partner."

Under such circumstances, why do the "Taiwan independence" forces and politicians on the island believe that foreign armies will "rush to the aid" when necessary? Have you ever heard of this phrase sooner or later?
