This year's Spring Festival back to the hometown for the New Year, when the New Year's Day a series of doors, found that now the rural population is getting smaller and smaller, the Spring Festival is becoming more and more deserted.

My husband's hometown is from rural Shandong. According to local customs, Chinese New Year's Eve eat Chinese New Year's Eve meal, and at twelve o'clock in the evening, all the hygiene in the home should be cleaned, and the vegetarian dumplings eaten the next day should also be wrapped!

Because after twelve o'clock, it is the first day of the Chinese New Year. On the first day of the first year, do not clean, do not work, do not eat meat, only visit the door to visit the New Year, figure a year at the beginning of a leisurely, plain and happy good omen!

On the morning of the first day of the first year, we got up early and ate dumplings, and my husband took me out to visit the door!

We first went to the homes of several elders with the same surname, and found that in 2021, 8 middle-aged and elderly people in this small mountain village of less than 300 people died. The oldest of them is 81 years old and the youngest is only 42 years old.

Big New Year's Day, suddenly found that so many familiar people are gone, the heart feels very unpleasant!

At almost noon, we visited my husband's Fa Xiao family, and through chatting with Fa Xiao, we learned that in fact, in this village, only two children were born this year, and in addition to the 8 elderly people who died, there are three who have been diagnosed with cancer, and there are still three or two months left!

In addition to the population that has settled down outside, there are now 236 people in the village.

And those in our early 40s are already young people who remain in the village.

However, we only came back for the New Year's Festival, and we usually worked outside!

When the farmers are busy, almost all the 60-70-year-old people in the field are working, and they cooperate with several people in order to better complete the harvesting work!

Even so, many of the fields in the village are deserted! Because it's really not enough!

We talked about it, maybe in a few years, this small mountain village will naturally disappear!

Because the number of births and deaths is so disproportionate!

In our rural areas of Shandong, where we attach great importance to inheritance, many young people are reluctant to have children, let alone other places?

It seems that we no longer have to worry about the future of not being able to afford a house for our children! There are fewer and fewer willing to give birth, and when the time comes, maybe having a child, the state will reward a house!

From then on, as long as we small people eat well, drink well, and live for a few more years, even if we contribute to a country with a rapidly decreasing population! [Teeth]

I hope that our country will become richer and stronger, and the life of our people will get better and better!

Friends, is there a balance between births and deaths in your village? Do you think my ideas about the future lives of ordinary people are realistic?
