Xiangguosi gas storage reservoir is located in the deep mountains at the junction of Beibei District and Yubei District of Chongqing City, and is the first underground gas storage reservoir in southwest China. As an important supporting project on the Zhongwei-Guiyang liaison line of the national natural gas pipeline network, in recent years, the Xiangguosi gas storage reservoir has played the role of a "voltage regulator" for the winter natural gas peak regulation and supply in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Sichuan-Chongqing regions. Among them, the two natural gas pipelines connecting the xiangguosi gas storage depot to the Zhonggui line and the xiangguosi gas storage depot to the Sichuan-Chongqing pipeline network are the "lifeline" of the Xiangguosi gas storage depot.
Zeng Hongbo is an ordinary employee of the Xiangguo Temple gas storage pipeline patrol class, responsible for the pipeline patrol of more than 20 kilometers of the xiangqian line, 90% of the pipelines he is responsible for are laid in the deep mountains and old forests, and can only be patrolled on foot.
"Sometimes when the weather is bad, I come down on a trip, my clothes are soaked, and I eat the dry food I carry with me in the mountains at noon." Zeng Hongbo said that the pipeline management of the Xiangguosi gas storage is relatively difficult, and the most important risk is from the third-party construction near the pipeline, geological disasters and land circulation, and the risk prevention and control of these three aspects has become the focus of his work.

Near Erping Town, Tongliang District, nearly 100 kilometers away from Gouxiqiao Village, Wangjia Street, Yubei District, pipeline ranger Liang Feng is wading through the Xiao'anxi River one foot deep and one foot shallow, patrolling the copper-phase natural gas pipeline that crosses the river.
