After years of systematic and comprehensive management, the ecological restoration of the Dashanbao International Important Wetland has achieved remarkable results, and it has become one of the wintering habitats with the largest population and the highest density of wintering black-necked cranes known in mainland China, and the number of black-necked cranes has increased from more than 200 when the reserve was established in 1990 to 2,143 in 2024.
