Due to his excellent performance in the second phase of the Pangang project, Qiu Feng was fortunate to form an electrical engineering team with more than 10 teammates and went to Luxembourg to be responsible for the dismantling of all electrical equipment.

In a small city with a large number of castles, collective accommodation for hundreds of people has become a big problem. After searching through hotels and idle schools to no avail, Qiu Feng and his co-workers lived in containers near the C blast furnace, except for the temporarily established headquarters personnel who lived in apartments.

It was the first time I took a plane, and I took a plane for 14 hours, and after a long journey and jet lag, I was dizzy for several days before my body returned to a normal state. After a period of novelty, the feeling of homesickness grows stronger. According to local laws, the flags of other countries are not allowed to be flown without permission other than consulates. After a three-day application and special approval, a flagpole was erected in the open space in front of the station on the eve of the National Day. On the morning of the National Day, all the dismantling personnel held a simple flag-raising ceremony. There is no sound, the national anthem is sung by everyone in unison, and the moment the five-star red flag flutters in the wind, Qiu Feng shed hot tears when he looked at the national flag waving in the wind for the first time. At that time, the tools were still relatively simple, there were no power tools, in addition to the basic electrician's three major parts: pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, as well as hacksaws, slaughterers, destruction scissors, gas welding cutters. If the wrench can't be removed, use a hacksaw to saw, use a slaughterer to slaughter if the saw continues, cut it with a gas welding knife if it keeps slaughtering, and use a saw blade to see little by little where it can't be gas welded...... In short, every means should be done to remove the usable equipment that was dismantled for protective dismantling intact. The cable can not be destructively dismantled, the cable will be scrapped after dismantling, Qiu Feng They can only endure the pain, cut the cable into a long section, tie it with a steel rope, and then drag it to an open area with a forklift to wait for transportation. In this way, the segmented disassembly not only improves the efficiency, but also saves manpower. During this period, Qiu Feng learned a variety of knotting methods and mastered forklift driving skills.

As the demolition project nears completion, a large amount of equipment needs to be packed and shipped back to China, and in late November, the weather in Europe begins to get worse and worse, either windy or foggy, and the ground on the construction site is frozen hard in the morning and muddy in the afternoon. One day, Qiu Feng and his co-workers worked until dark, when the wind and rain hit together, the wind was not wild but it blew tightly, and the rain was not heavy but fine and dense. It's okay to wear a raincoat, the canvas gloves on your hands and the suede shoes on your feet are not waterproof, the rain soaked the gloves and leather shoes, and the hands and feet are numb from the cold, and the numbness is tingling. At night, the sound of the wind on the field, the roar of the machines, the crash of tools, the whistle of the crane, the shouts of the workers, and the rustle of the drizzle are intertwined, playing a beautiful movement of the most beautiful "Song of the Laborers" in the world. The brothers of the furnace company that I admire the most, blasting is not allowed in the local area, all the blast furnace and hot blast furnace refractory bricks are manually dismantled and transported one by one, and a pair of brand-new canvas gloves takes two or three hours, and most of the finger covers are worn out, and new gloves need to be replaced. In addition to the extremely heavy physical exertion every day, there is also a pervasive dust invasion, and the path that they often walk to and from work is gradually dyed gray and white by the refractory bricks that fall from their bodies. There is also an industrial installation company responsible for the demolition of the steel structure, and the amount of work is also very amazing, more than 30 brothers and more than a dozen muskets, a group of two people, a group of guns, one person cuts the other person to cooperate with and supervise. The musket does not go out for 12 hours a day, the meals are eaten in turns, each person carries more than a dozen gas nozzles, the gun head is burned out and immediately replaced and then dried, the oxygen and acetylene used in the past are used in a bottle, at that time it was a basket of 24 bottles, after the bottle mouth is connected in parallel with a pipe, a pressure reducing valve is output for a musket, which saves a lot of time to replace the gas cylinder.

Luxembourgers were struck by the solidarity and hard-working spirit of the Chinese. In their calculations, it was necessary to disassemble this behemoth for at least a year and a half. The 379-person dismantling team completed the task in just over 3 months, dismantling more than 40,000 tons of materials, packaging and shipping equipment of more than 9,100 tons, and processing tens of thousands of tons of waste materials.

From the C blast furnace that has crossed the ocean in Luxembourg, it has been transformed into the No. 6 blast furnace of Kunshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., which combines Chinese and Western technologies, and is located in Anning City, 30 kilometers away from Kunming, after countless research, repair and transformation by the technicians of Kunshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. At 10:30 a.m. on December 26, 1998, in people's expectations, the molten iron flowed down the molten iron ditch of the No. 6 blast furnace of Kunshan Iron and Steel, people's faces were burning, everyone was extremely excited and excited, shaking hands and hugging each other, and the tough guys of ironmaking burst into tears. The 2,000 cubic meter blast furnace has reached the world's advanced level, saving investment of 600 to 700 million yuan, and the construction period is 13 months shorter than the rated construction period. While the construction period was shortened, it also accelerated the pace of Qiu Feng's layoff. With the successful completion of the No. 6 blast furnace, the 19th Metallurgical Corporation was laid off and diverted due to no follow-up projects. When the No. 6 blast furnace started to ignite, Qiu Feng, who was nearly 30 years old, packed his bags and silently left the 19th Metallurgical Corporation.

Qiu Feng has worked in different jobs in Kunming several times, but he has given up because he is not satisfied. One day after half a year of wandering, Qiu Feng decided to try his luck in the talent market. After entering the company, Qiu Feng found that the work experience accumulated in five years was a valuable wealth in life. Electrician, fitter, welder, riveter, forklift and other skills he can be proficient in operation, use freely, plus work serious and meticulous, proactive, dirty work he rushed to do, he quickly adapted to the new job, the company's affirmation.

The fan in the boiler room where steam is supplied at one time will not move, and a furnace will not be opened. The electrician who arrived first did not troubleshoot the problem for a long time. After Qiu Feng received the notification, he picked up the toolbox and went to check the situation. He saw a colleague holding an electric pen, poking and poking along the line to the east and west. Qiu Feng thought that this was not the way, and the fan control loop was still a little complicated, so he asked his colleague for the blueprint of the boiler. Knowing that there were no drawings, Qiu Feng drew the schematic diagram according to the control principle of the boiler fan and the structure of its on-site components, and then carefully analyzed it point by point according to the drawings, troubleshooting the faults one by one, and finally found the cause of the fault - the contact fault of the time relay could not be turned on, resulting in the fan not being able to start and operate normally. After troubleshooting, an old worker praised: "The fault that I have no clue after working for nearly half a day was solved by Qiu Feng in ten minutes!" ”

When the company was in Kunming, the company's pump room was 200 meters away from the factory, and the overhead wires were often stolen because of the distance from the work of the security personnel. Overnight, between the four poles, four wires totaling nearly a kilometer, were cut clean, leaving only the bare poles, like tree trunks that have lost their leaves in winter, standing alone next to the pump room. Qiu Feng remembered the previous experience of the 19th Metallurgical Corporation in Yangzonghai Yunnan Aluminum Plant to participate in the construction of the 10,000-volt external line of the water source pump room: from digging pits, erecting poles, pulling wires, climbing poles, applying gold, erecting wires, tying wires, and wiring, he participated in the whole process. Qiu Feng then confidently said to the squad leader: "Squad leader, don't worry! I can complete the repair work of the wiring. Under the suspicious gaze of the squad leader, with the help of the team members, Qiu Feng quickly climbed up and down on the electric pole, and a complete set of outside work was done smoothly, which impressed the squad leader.

Unexpectedly, the thief's technique of stealing the wire was as superb as Qiu Feng's skill in erecting the wire, and within a few days of the wire being erected, the thief took advantage of the moonlight to come quietly. In two months, Qiu Feng set up the line three times. The thief not only caused economic losses to the company, but also delayed the production of the workshop and affected the company's efficiency. Just as his wife was pregnant and needed to be taken care of, the thief, as if he knew he was resting, took the opportunity to steal the cable again. Qiu Feng thought to himself, no, I have to think of a way to install an alarm once and for all. He conceived the design in his mind according to his professional knowledge, and then drew the schematic diagram, after discussing and improving with the masters, he found the relevant components and materials, and successfully assembled a set of disconnection alarms, as long as one of the wires was cut, the alarm would sound, and the searchlight would be turned on. He installed the disconnect alarm on the roof of the pump room and the searchlight was facing the direction of the line.

One night, the alarm suddenly rang out, and the security personnel hurriedly ran towards the pump room, and saw the searchlight shining brightly towards the pump room, and the armed police of the prison near the pump room found that the abnormality also shone the searchlight to the pump room. The thief was probably frightened by the sudden light and fled, and the overhead wire has never been stolen again.

Set sail safely

The company's workshop is running 24 hours a day, and the chemical reaction can not be blacked out for a long time. In 2004, when the company did not move to Fumin in Kunming, due to insufficient power supply, the implementation of quota power supply, the company therefore wanted to use diesel generators to ensure production, but the original power of an old generator can only meet the emergency demand can not meet the production demand, in this case the company purchased a new generator. Then, a new problem arose, the old generator was the "Detroit" two-stroke diesel generator produced in 1975, and the new generator was the "Volvo" four-stroke diesel generator produced in 2004. What to do? At this time, Qiu Feng thought of sectional power supply, cut the distribution bus into two sections, connected with a switch in the middle, and connected a generator on both sides, when the city grid was powered, close the switch to use electricity normally, and turn on the switch when the city grid was out of power, and the two generators would each supply a section of electricity. After discussion, on-site analysis, design, calculation, calibration, and construction by all members of the electrical team, the generator was finally successfully transformed to ensure safe power supply in the event of a power outage in the city grid.

In the process of overcoming difficulties again and again, Qiu Feng is also constantly growing, and at the same time, he is constantly updating the maintenance concept. In the inherent concept of maintenance, technicians wait for equipment to fail before repairing, and after entering the company, he came into contact with the concept of "preventive maintenance", which is very similar to the theory of "treating the disease before it is cured" in traditional Chinese medicine. After a period of study and reflection, Qiu Feng felt that if he did a good job of preventive maintenance, he could reduce the rush of repair work and adjust the focus of work to planned and organized pre-maintenance work. Therefore, Qiu Feng and his colleagues checked the original equipment data sheet one by one on the spot, established an electrical and instrumentation equipment ledger, registered them one by one, and formulated inspection, maintenance and calibration plans. Production is inseparable from stability, but also inseparable from safety. Regular inspection of the motor, vibration of measuring operating temperature, cleaning and anti-corrosion, terminal inspection and fastening, bearing grease filling, regular inspection of the distribution cabinet with infrared thermal imager, regular comprehensive power failure for cleaning and node tightening, daily inspection and regular calibration of pressure gauges, temperature gauges, flow meters, liquid level switches, etc. All of this work is done for one purpose – to keep the equipment running safely and reliably.

Qiu Feng has experienced the pain of falling from a height in the original engineering construction unit, and has also experienced the grief of his colleagues who fell and never got up again, and he truly realized the importance of safety.
