On the morning of May 19, the launching ceremony of the "5•19 China Tourism Day" Shanghai theme activity with the theme of "Visit Shanghai" was held at the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall.
At the launching ceremony, an awarding ceremony was held for the Shanghai Suhe Waterfront Industrial Tourism Base, Shanghai Jiangnan Shipbuilding Industrial Tourism Base and Shanghai Laogang Ecological and Environmental Protection Base, which were selected as the first batch of national industrial tourism demonstration bases.
In recent years, the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, in conjunction with relevant departments, has intensified the opening up of industrial enterprises, combined creativity with industry, and combined invention with manufacturing to form a new industrial format. At the same time, it actively retains industrial civilization and historical buildings, transforms the unique historical heritage, cultural connotation and imagination space of old industrial relics into a carrier for inheriting industrial civilization, strives to create a demonstration benchmark for industrial tourism, and creates new highlights for stimulating Shanghai's urban tourism consumption.
Suhe waterfront industrial tourism base
The Suzhou Creek, Shanghai's "mother river", meanders through many districts, and many industrial heritage resources are gathered along the riverbank, giving birth to and nourishing Shanghai's industrial civilization, history and culture. The Suhe Waterfront Industrial Tourism Base now covers four cultural and tourism enterprises in Putuo District, referred to as "two museums and two parks", all of which have a close relationship with Shanghai's industrial civilization and historical development, and at the same time have their own characteristics, providing rich resource value, theme products and characteristic projects for the industrial tourism of the base.
M50 Creative Park
Formerly known as Shanghai Chunming Woolen Spinning Factory, M50 Creative Park has been transformed into an art and creative park with both appreciation and experience functions, and is one of the first contemporary art parks in China, gathering more than 160 creative design companies and studios. At the same time, it has launched life aesthetics projects, covering incense, bamboo weaving, flower arrangement, tea ceremony, jewelry, folk concerts, Kunqu opera, antique furniture collections, etc.
Shanghai Textile Museum
Shanghai Textile Museum is the former site of the Ninth Shanghai Shenxin Textile Factory, where citizens and tourists can learn about the history of the development and change of Shanghai's textile industry, and can also participate in the museum's research and development activities, such as hand-dyeing blue calico, weaving Chinese knots, etc.
Shanghai Mint Museum
The Shanghai Mint Museum is located in the Shanghai Mint Co., Ltd., with the theme of "minting technology" and is unique, citizens and tourists can not only get a glimpse of the process and equipment of the minting process, but also experience the making of commemorative medals and deeply feel the minting process.
Genesis Tower
Chuangxiang Tower used to be the former site of Shanghai Quilt Factory, and there is a three-story warehouse with a watchtower with a total construction area of nearly 10,000 square meters, built in the early years of the Republic of China. Through renovation and renewal, taking the opportunity of the Suzhou Creek connection, the Suzhou Creek Trail will be extended to the park, the roof platform will be opened for citizens and tourists to overlook the panoramic view of Suzhou Creek Baocheng Bay, and various special night markets such as festival markets, food markets, and summer beer night markets will be held from time to time.
Relying on the high-quality resources of the riverside space and the "Banmasu River", and giving full play to the connecting role of the Suhe River trail and the Suhe River Station, the Suhe Riverside Industrial Tourism Base connects the surrounding red scenic spots and parks and green spaces, and plans and designs a unique industrial tourism route - "Suhe Era, National Industrial Exploration Tour".
In addition to the "two museums and two parks", the route also extends to the surrounding pan-industrial tourist attractions, such as the Industrial Chuxin Cultural Scenic Spot (composed of Gu Zhenghong Memorial Hall and the Historical Materials Exhibition Hall of the Huxi Workers Half-day School), Mengqingyuan Environmental Protection Theme Park, Tian'an Thousand Trees, etc., connecting the scattered scenic spots in series to create a new business card for Shanghai tourism check-in.
