But at the same time, people should not forget that in the Xi'an Incident, there was such a crucial person, although he was not the most critical decision-maker in this matter, but he also dedicated his great strength to the country, and promoted the Xi'an Incident, a major event of eternity, his name is Sun Mingjiu.
After the incident broke out, Zhang Xueliang first ordered Wang Yuzhen to arrest Chiang Kai-shek, wang Yuzhao was afraid of his lack of power, and went to find Sun Mingjiu, Sun Mingjiu had trained in Japan, he later entered Tianjin, joined Zhang Xueliang's team, and became Zhang Xueliang's confidant, Zhang Xueliang usually took him with him in any major event, including the later Xi'an Incident.
At the time of the Xi'an Incident, Wang Yuzhan and Sun Mingjiu took the elite of their regiment and came to Huaqingchi, outside the room where Chiang Kai-shek was resting, there was a blockade of guards, the two sides faced each other, and began to exchange fire, Chiang Kai-shek realized that things were not good, and used the cover of soldiers to run to the back mountain in advance to hide, and under the concerted efforts of Sun Mingjiu and Wang Yuzhen, Chiang Kai-shek finally fell into their hands.
After the Xi'an Incident, General Zhang was detained by Chiang Kai-shek, when Sun Mingjiu's Northeast Army proposed to rescue Zhang Xueliang, but the senior generals of the Northeast Army led by Yu Xuezhong objected, Sun Mingjiu, as Zhang Xueliang's confidant, hoped that he could rescue Zhang Xueliang, so he shot and killed a general who opposed their rescue of Zhang Xueliang, after which Sun Mingjiu could no longer live in the Northeast Army, and after he left the Northeast Army, he successively entered the Tianjin Concession and the Shanghai Concession.
In 1949, the artillery fire of New China was ignited in the sky, Sun Mingjiu was constantly censored because of his special historical status as a Kuomintang, and after he passed the appeal, the Central Committee believed that he had a certain contribution to the country, gave him a position, assigned to Shanghai, and had a fixed salary every month.
Sun Mingjiu later lived in Shanghai for most of his life and served as a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference until his death from illness in 2000, ending his ups and downs at the age of 91.
What people did not expect was that Sun Mingjiu later claimed to be a direct detainee of Chiang Kai-shek in various public occasions, but Wang Yuzhan clarified the matter.
In 1979, Wang Yuzhuan was already an 83-year-old man, one day he saw a written record in the newspaper, describing Sun Mingjiu as the only great hero, after seeing this article, Wang Yuzhuan was very unhappy in his heart, because he knew that the first person to catch Chiang Kai-shek at that time was not Sun Mingjiu at all, but Sun Mingjiu declared on various occasions that he was the one who captured Chiang Kai-shek alive, and in order to restore the truth of this matter to history and let more people know the truth, he specially wrote a letter. The letter had nearly seven thousand words, and this was a letter he wanted to report to Marshal Ye Jianying, and for this letter, he devoted all his efforts to recording all the events of Xi'an as they were, which was also the original intention in his heart, not to gain glory, but to record the truth.
After receiving this letter, Marshal Ye Jianying felt that this matter was of great importance, and he specially found some people to set up an investigation team to investigate in the Liaoning region.
In November of that year, Wang Yuzhan received a belated affirmation, a belated reward, that is, a report, and in this report, the organization affirmed his statement, and his face could not help but shed tears of excitement, because he thought that the fair truth he had sought had finally arrived.
Whether it is Sun Mingjiu or Wang Yuzhen, they have made outstanding contributions to the Xi'an Incident, even if they did not play a decisive role, I should still remember the various efforts they made for the country, and the unity of purpose and the armpits have become a city, so that we have a prosperous new China.
