In 1940, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and her body collapsed, so she left Zhang Xueliang and went to the United States for treatment. For breast cancer, resection is the best and fastest treatment at any time, but Yu Fengzhi insists on keeping his body intact for Zhang Xueliang. Later, the cancer spread, and the Kennedys persuaded them to undergo mastectomy.
After making money, Yu Fengzhi began to invest in real estate in the United States, and she bought two villas, one for her own residence, and the other for her husband and Zhao Yidi. But the result of her painstaking management in the United States was Zhang Xueliang's divorce agreement, and at that time she understood that the marriage of the three people could not go on, and it was better to achieve the happiness of the two people than to suffer from the three people. So she signed her name on the divorce agreement, but her heart still regarded herself as Zhang Xueliang's wife, and the name on the tombstone was "Zhang Yufengzhi".

After Yu Fengzhi's death, Zhang Xueliang took Zhao Si to her tomb to worship, listen to her feelings before her death, and sighed at the monument: There are no regrets in life, only this person. But Yu Fengzhi, who was sleeping deep underground, could no longer hear it.
Some people think that Yu Fengzhi's life is not worth it, he has lived for Zhang Xueliang all his life, and more importantly, Zhang Xueliang does not love her. But to know that life is not only a criterion of winning and losing, winning and losing is only one of many criteria. Love has never won or lost, I want to do it again, Yu Fengzhi will still make such a choice. Because love is never a fair thing.
