According to official sources, Hyundai motor's global sales in 2021 will be 3890981 units, an increase of 3.9% compared with 2020, and Kia's global sales in 2021 will be 2777056 units, an increase of 6.5% compared with 2020. Hyundai and Kia also announced global sales targets for 2022, at 4,323,000 and 3,150,000 units, respectively.

In terms of global markets, Hyundai motor achieved 3164143 sales results in the global market excluding South Korea in 2021, an increase of 7% compared with 2020, while Hyundai's global sales target of 4,323,000 vehicles for 2022 will account for 3,591,000 units in other markets except the Korean domestic market. Kia's sales in markets other than South Korea will be 2242040 units in 2021, up 9.1% from 2020. The sales target for 2022 is to account for 258,800 units in addition to Korea.

Specifically, in the Chinese market, Beijing Hyundai's compact sedan, the new generation of Elantra, achieved sales of 17,009 units in December 2021, and the annual sales reached 130,000 units, becoming the absolute sales responsibility of Beijing Hyundai. The Tucson L, a compact SUV that is also a new generation, sold 6,390 units in December 2021, with an average monthly increase of 114% in the fourth quarter, maintaining steady growth. Meanwhile, the compact SUV model ix35 sold 7,947 units in December 2021 and 82,924 units in the full year. In addition, the cumulative sales of the new medium and large MPV Kustu in March were 7967 units, which has ranked among the top ten in the monthly sales list of MPV models.

In terms of Kia, sportage (domestic Kia KX5) will sell 363,630 units worldwide in 2021, becoming Kia's absolute sales force, and the new generation of models is also expected to be introduced into domestic production and sales this year.
