According to media reports, Asia Auto's first pure electric EV6 has officially opened blind ordering in the domestic market.
This car was released by Kia Motors in 2021 and is Kia Motors' first model based on the new EV-specific platform E-GMP, positioned as a compact pure electric SUV. In overseas markets, the Kia EV6 has been officially launched and deliveries have already begun.
Although the Kia EV6 made its domestic debut as early as the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show, it has not been able to be launched in the domestic market due to various factors.
According to the latest news, the Kia EV6 will be officially launched in August this year.
Externally, the new car adopts Kia Motors' latest family design language, and the front face alone does not look like a pure electric vehicle. Because under the front of the car, there is also a black front center net. But from the side, the Kia EV6 with a coupe-style design is a different feeling. The body with a short overhang and long axle, coupled with hidden door handles and large wheels, makes the Kia EV6 look very sporty and futuristic.
The rear of the car is also very personal, in addition to the large rear wing, the shape of the through-through taillights is also very recognizable. The rear bumper is also embellished with a large number of black elements. There is also a spoiler design at the bottom, which can also effectively reduce air resistance and improve driving stability.
As a compact SUV, the Kia EV6 has a length, width and height of 4695/1890/1545mm, but the wheelbase has reached 2900mm, which has surpassed many mid-size SUVs.
Like the exterior, the design of the interior of the Kia EV6 does not look very simple like most pure electric vehicles, and the shadow of traditional fuel vehicles can still be seen. It is said that the interior is made of recycled plastic. It is equipped with dual 12-inch curved double-sided screens and a dual-spoke steering wheel, and under the center display are touch buttons to control the air conditioning.
The gear shift mechanism still uses Kia's knob shift, and the seats look like they should be made of a lot of suede material. The new car will also support DC fast charging up to 800V, which can be charged from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes.
In terms of power, the Kia EV6 will be launched in a long-range version and a standard-range version. Among them, the long-range rear-drive version has a maximum power of 228 horsepower and a pure electric range of 528 kilometers. The standard range rear-drive version has a maximum power of 170 hp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm.
The four-wheel drive version has a maximum torque of 605 Nm, an all-electric range of 506 kilometers and a zero acceleration of 5.2 seconds.
In addition, the Kia EV6 will also be launched in a GT version that focuses on performance. The maximum power is 585 hp and the maximum torque is 740 Nm. It accelerates in 3.5 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 260km/h.
In the view of Che Kuai, Kia EV6 is excellent enough in terms of product power alone, which can be called a big move that Kia often puts in the domestic new energy market.
Of course, whether it can be sold depends on the price after the official launch.
