The ocean is in front of me, and I don't know anything

Recently, a dig-up documentary interview program "My Family, My Country" launched by the Central Radio and Television Corporation for everyone in the country has caught fire.

In the program, these 90-year-old people with an average age share with us the wisdom of life that they have endured with the bitterness of the world and the gains and losses.

Le Daiyun, a 90-year-old professor in the Department of Chinese at Peking University, said: "You should have your own opinions, you don't rely on others to live."

Lu Yuanjiu, a 101-year-old academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Sciences: "If you understand, you can understand, and if you don't understand, you can't pretend to understand."

Wang Pinxian, an 85-year-old academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said: "Human life expectancy is limited, and we must do what we can do in a limited life!"

Although we are all familiar with these truths, there are very few people who can really adhere to them and can do them. To sum it up in a popular phrase: "I understand the truth, but I can't do it."

But in fact, many things, we always think that we know very well about them, but the truth is often - we are familiar with the surface of things, but we do not know anything about the deeper connotations.

This may sound puzzling. But think back to what our teachers repeatedly taught us in books when we were students: E=mc and F=ma in physics, theorems, formulas, and even equations in chemistry... Which one of us is not all upside down like a stream, open our mouths to come.

But when it comes to exams, what questions really only examine our memory?

One question after another not only examines our knowledge reserves, but on this basis, it is more to require us to constantly think, calculate, analyze, apply, and reason in a limited time... Finally, a conclusion can be drawn.

That's why not everyone gets a perfect score on the exam.

Therefore, when we are students, we can only struggle repeatedly in the sea of questions, and find the correct results under the wrong answers again and again, so as to transform the "theorem of death" in books into "living knowledge" that can really be used for us.

The theorems and formulas in books are like the truths of life. There are many truths that we only know and hear unilaterally, rather than really "know.".

All the big truths are just a dry text for you, you don't understand its ins and outs, and you don't understand the connotations. You just memorize the words, but you don't take action to make it have an impact on your life.

People hear these complaints all the time: "I know it's bad to be angry, and I want to control my temper, but I just can't." "I know that time is precious and I should take time out every day to work out, but it's not too much to play on my phone for a while." ......

These people are addicted to the logic of "the truth is understood, but cannot be done", and they are content to maintain the status quo and are unwilling to take action to change.

I've never looked into it: Why do you lose your temper? Did things settle after the tantrum? Have you thought of any way to circumvent similar situations from happening again? How can I effectively control my emotions? Why is fitness important? Have you ever had a detailed fitness plan in place?

The knowledge in books will be tested again and again through examinations, but many of the wisdom of life cannot be passively acquired. Many times, we are only close to success and continue to keep moving forward.

Wang Pinxian, an 85-year-old professor at Tongji University's School of Oceanography and Earth Sciences, said: "My life is countdown, everything else can be generous, money can be generous, time I can't be generous."

Each of us knows to cherish time, but this sentence is indeed true to him. In order to save 10 minutes of travel, he insisted on riding from home to school, and the wind and rain could not stop it. Racing against the clock is his daily routine.

Indeed, time is like water in a sponge, and there is always a squeeze. Remember last year's Peking University "net red security" Xu Wenlong? Recently, he was on fire again, and he began to learn CPA again with an undergraduate diploma.

In his spare time, Xu Wenlong completed all undergraduate courses and passed the defense, and is about to obtain a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from Beijing Forestry University.

But behind this achievement, there are more than 1,400 days and nights of persistence that others cannot see, from quantitative change to qualitative change, is to keep in mind the "you have a constant, why three more sleeps and five more rises, the most useless, only afraid of being exposed to ten days of cold in one day", is to use practical actions to write every day of the future.

The ocean is in front of me, and I don't know anything

"Those who do not know and do not do, know and do not do, just do not know." If what we know is like a drop of water, then what we don't know is like a vast ocean.

As Isaac Newton once said, "I am like a child playing on the beach, sometimes picking up a few stones, sometimes picking up a few beautiful shells and rejoicing." The vast ocean of truth is still unfolding before us."

In the face of such a vast scenery, we must first be as curious as a child, and then humbly admit our ignorance, and then continue to learn, think, practice, and summarize.

Work hard to reap the fruits.
