Mercedes-Benz will recall some imported cars! Seats or additional parts are installed

According to the official website of the State Administration for Market Regulation, 7 imported GLE SUV and GLS SUV vehicles with production dates between February 9, 2020 and June 2, 2020, due to production deviations, the seats may not be fully assembled or additional parts are installed, which may increase the risk of injury to personnel in the collision of the vehicle, do not meet the requirements of relevant national mandatory standards, and have safety hazards.

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will inspect the seats on the affected vehicles by authorized dealers, performing the necessary rework of unqualified seats free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.

For the 149 imported CLS, E-class, GLC SUVs and S-class cars with production dates from August 4, 2020 to August 27, 2020, due to production deviations, the locking card point of the electrical plug of the side impact sensor may be unqualified, and the possibility of the joint of the side impact sensor being loosened during the life cycle of the vehicle cannot be ruled out. If a vehicle has a side impact, this may cause the occupant restraint system to be activated delayed, resulting in a decrease in the restraint protection performance, an increased risk of occupant injury, and a safety hazard.

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will check the card point of the side impact sensor on the door of the affected vehicle free of charge through the authorized dealer, and if it is missing, replace the side impact sensor to eliminate the safety hazard.
