Mercedes-Benz S-Class, AMG GT, and domestic Mercedes-Benz C-Class recalled a total of 31 vehicles

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. have filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulations in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures for the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products, and have recalled the following vehicles from now on.

1. Recall a total of 2 imported AMG GT vehicles with a production date from January 22, 2021 to March 16, 2021.

Vehicles covered by this recall may cause damage to the front wheel speed sensor harness due to tension loads due to deviations during development, such as when the steering wheel is turned to the limit position or when the suspension is fully compressed/rebounded. This will lead to the failure of the vehicle dynamic control system, increasing the risk of collision accidents in the vehicle, and there are potential safety hazards.

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will replace the improved front wheel speed sensor wiring harness free of charge for vehicles covered by the recall through an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer to eliminate safety hazards.

2. Recall a total of 16 imported S-Class vehicles with production dates from September 10, 2021 to October 19, 2021.

Thrust arm brackets on the rear axle carriers of vehicles covered by this recall may not be welded as required. In extreme cases, the thrust arm bracket may detach from the rear axle carrier, affecting the handling of the vehicle and causing safety hazards.

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will check the welding of the thrust arm bracket on the rear axle bracket of the vehicle within the scope of the recall through the authorized mercedes-Benz dealership, and if the welding is found to be poor, the rear axle carrier assembly will be replaced free of charge to eliminate the safety hazard.

3. Recall some domestically produced C-class vehicles with production dates from July 13, 2021 to January 11, 2022, for a total of 13 vehicles.

The bolts of the vehicle's rear brake calipers within the scope of this recall may not be tightened according to the specified torque during the production process, resulting in the braking performance of the vehicle being affected. In extreme cases, the caliper may come loose, which does not exclude the possibility of damage to the rim and will affect the handling of the vehicle, which is a safety hazard.
