FAW-Volkswagen and Porsche recall about 10,000 imported cars involving Audi and Cayenne

【Zhichepai News】On February 18, Zhichepai learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co., Ltd. and Porsche (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with relevant requirements and decided to recall the following vehicles again.

Among them, FAW-Volkswagen announced that from February 25, 2022, it will recall some imported Audi A4 Avant, A4 Allroad, A5, A6 Avant, A6 Allroad, A7, A8L, Q7, Q8, S4, S5, S6, S7, RS4, S5, S6, S7, RS4, RS5, RS5, RS6, RS7, RSQ8 vehicles manufactured between November 27, 2019 and December 21, 2020, totaling 7,407 units.

Porsche announced that it will recall a total of 2,574 imported 2021 Cayenne series vehicles manufactured between September 16, 2020 and October 31, 2020, effective immediately.

The reason for the recall is that the vehicles within the scope of this recall did not re-check and adjust the positioning of the rear axle suspension after performing the recall repair of the replacement of the rear axle tow arm lock nut, and the possibility of deviation in the positioning of the rear axle suspension was not excluded, which would lead to premature or uneven wear of the tires and the reduction of tread and ground adhesion. If the tire wears to the limit, it may cause the tire to burst, which will increase the risk of vehicle collision and there is a safety hazard.

After the recall, the company will check and adjust the suspension positioning of the rear axle for the vehicle free of charge; in addition, the tire will be checked for premature or uneven wear due to incorrect suspension positioning, and replaced if necessary to eliminate safety hazards.

Emergency measures: If there is a deviation in the direction or the rear of the chassis of the vehicle is shaking when the vehicle is running, the user should park the vehicle to a safe position, visually check the wear of the tires, and contact the nearest authorized dealer to inspect and deal with the vehicle.
